Always pictured him to be this hardass with the heart of gold. I mean, come on, none of us are debating Chewie to be scum, and you can't just tear these two apart. (Yes, yes, I know, Episode VII, but that's kind of the point.)
His selfish start just doesn't put him in that camp for me. Sure, there are Scum pilots that are more like "third/ neutral party" pilots, but that's usually the case when those have no clear alignment in the civil war. This is absolutely not the case for the Han we know, maybe the "Solo" Han will change that.
Given how he sometimes behaves, I'd say it's stranger that there's no Scum Dash. As long as that's the bar, there's no real reason for Scum Han.
