Herowannabe is on point to where my head is at with this idea. A lot of people have already painted their ships to look the way they want, or if they are like me, really dont care as I suck at painting and I am glad I dont have to. What I would love, is for there to be a way to add Pilots to the game without having to buy more of the same ships. For example, there is no way in **** I am buying a third Falcon if they release one for the Last Jedi. Would I like updated or new pilots for it? Absolutely, but I will never get 3 YT 1300's into a list so why pay it for a third?

I am fully aware of how FFG business model for X Wing works, but at some point people like myself will stop being a part of it if I don't see value for my money with the same ships being repainted for new Expacs.

I am actually a bit shocked, and slightly miffed they haven't done it already. All forgiven if it comes with some really nice upgrades/pilots to put T-65 X-Wings back into play properly.

Could even bundle it with Striker variants, did I hear something about a Striker Bomber? Was that from the technical manual?

Actually, something like Heroes of Scarif should be in Armada since it was a huge battle and not just a skirmish with snubfighters.

I would like to see a set with a partisan X-wing and TIE Reaper, call it Dawn of Hope, 40 bucks, with K2 as a pilot of the U-wing and crew as well, with Saw crew, General Merrick, some other x-wingers, Tiree and Pops in Y-wings WITH EPTs.

Imps could get Krennic crew, enforcer droid generic crew, TIE Fighter and Striker Pilots, titles for TIE fighters.

Then maybe a ‘core 2.0’ with certain fighters’ ship tokens reprinted with bullseye arcs (X-wings in particular) packaged with YT-1300 and Firespray, with new art for all existing pilots in rebs, Imps and Scum for those ships, and new Scum versions of YT-1300. This set would be intended for purchase after one of the original core sets. And finally a new Slave One title that does something awesome. 50 bucks?

i want(and i think the OP wants) ship specific cards and components to be sold in a unit of merchandise which does not contain a plastic model of the ship they go with. the way they were with Most Wanted. i understand why most wanted was sold that way, and i think its time to do it again.

for example, a "battle of Hoth" box which has a campaign mission and 3 T47 land speeders, but also comes with pilot cards, titles and cardboard for all 5 of the original trilogy small ships that are really hurting. lets say 4 pilots for the y-wing, then titles and upgrades for the Xwing, Bwing, interceptor, tie bomber, and maybe hawk 290. i dont think anyone wants their old ships to be worthless

I want old X-Wings and pilots updated or “overhauled” to be equal to T-70s via a title card or similar.

Well most wanted didn't really fix the Y-wing, Z-95 HWK or even the Firespray. If you want a mass fix for older ships it seems more like a 2.0 is required.

I would love them to make a "book" pack with pilots from the new books. Why does Armada AND Destiny get a Cienna card??? Why are we only stuck with Thane? No one likes Thane. Also, you can include Thrawn and Eli Vanto; Cham Sendula; etc.

True, but you could break it down into a series of X-wing scenarios, too.

A scarif campaign box would be awesome. If you really wanted to you could do a 'later seasons of rebels plus rogue one' campaign.

• Partisan and Blue Squadron X-wing if you absolutely must have some plastic.
• Rebel Pilot cards: X-wing/Y-wing pilots (Merrick & Co & Hera in X-wings, maybe 'Gold Squadron Veterans' plus Ezra in a Y-wing) and U-wing pilots (K2-SO)
• Rebel crew cards: K2-SO and Chirrut.
• Imperial Pilot cards: TIE Striker and TIE fighter - plus something like an 'endless ranks' title to bring in reinforcements for generic kills for the swarm-ey feel. Ciena Ree (interceptor), and Vult Skerris (interceptor & defender)
• Imperial crew cards: Krennic, Rukh, Thrawn
• If Scum must get something, you could consider the partisans as scum rather than rebels (depends how Rebels season 4 goes!) and have their X-wings as scum units.

I only want new ships if they are repaints to the new quality standard.

A re-release of the original X-Wing and TIE fighter packs (with respective fixes) in the original colors, but to today's standard, I'll pick up 2 of each!

When I originally say the title thread I thought the OP meant the Most Wanted from Netrunner. I could get behind a set of tourney only adjustments to point costs or combination restrictions that attempt to open up the meta to more variety of builds without having to reprint cards or mess with casual play costing.

I would buy that, give the Rebel cards to my friends, and practice against the X-Wing. And use the TIE Reaper ALL THE TIME!

But first we need the TIE Reaper in it's own set, along with the Chiss Clawcraft.

This will never happen. That particular dead horse has been flogged so hard and often, it's barely a puddle anymore. They've literally come out and said, very plainly and clearly, they have no plans for card packs. I'd imagine a large part reinforcing that is they have the IP licence for a miniature game, and any card only packs could breach that.

Hero's of Scariff would have been perfect time to do this, but I don't think we are ever going to get it.

I don't think we need anymore tie-fighters LOL, but 'Ceptors, Bombers, and maybe the Advanced could use some buffs for sure.

As much as I hate to jump on the bombs are terrible for the game bandwagon, whilst they work the way they do, Imperials wont be that competitive. Low health, high Agi means nothing atm, talking purely competitive. But saying that, i would love to see some early wave love, they have learned from past experiences and hopefully can fix some mistakes, as in no EPT's for Rebel Y's, Pilots like Kir Kanos having a good ability but a lack of EPT means there are better choices for your points.

After the last FAQ, sure card only packs seems more fitting. Maybe even have a card rotation, no one is going to miss Squad Leader. As for the models, they will get new pilots and upgrades.
