Sleeves, FFG sleeves or UP Eclipse ?

Never used Ultrapro as they have that stupid hologram on them.

In the last year or two, Ultra-Pro severely toned down the hologram on most of their sleeves (its barely noticable) and I think the Eclipse ones forgo it altogether.

I swear by FFG sleeves but have chosen some art sleeves for my current decks since the Clan versions are not available.

For storage I dusted off my retired Rook equipment that includes the old AEG L5R Clan and other Rook deck boxes. It fits all the current cards and decks. This is not my stuff but it is the same model:

Upshot: The fully loaded stainless steel case is also a self defense tool.

Here's a bunch of pics of the Stanley case. It can easily fit 3 core sets sleeved, dials, tokens, lanyard, etc. The containers are easily removed and customizable, and are held in place by circles on the bottom and nubs in the clear top, so even if you don't use all the yellow containers they still stay firmly in place. A couple pictures show how you can customize it to hold a bunch of playmats.

I love it.

Did you sleeve all your cards?

Yes, I sleeve them all as soon as they are taken out of the box. And I have them all clear which makes it easy to change up decks on the fly (our store allows clear).

I thought I'd bring this up in this thread: as per this reddit thread, it seems that UP, dragon shield, and FFG sleeves will warp and take on the pattern of the rings. Depending on the judge, this could be considered grounds for disqualification at a tournament.

Also KMC so at this point the rules are gonna have to be different

They were out, but I found a dewalt case, basically the same, but has latches to put a second case on. In case one needs to expand. (I only want that so I can separate out clans, then deck type.)

This isn't an issue for FFG tournaments, and also isn't dependent on one judge. Don't' cheat or mark your cards and you will have nothing to worry about.

I've never had this issue with Dragon Shield Matte.

Thank you for this because there is freaking out going on in that thread
