Missing rules in core set?

By Michio Morin, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

My wife and I just finished our first game of the LCG and noticed that the chrysanthemum icon was never explained in the rules anywhere (we are assuming it indicates unique cards, but aren't sure what exactly this means in the LCG).

I know that most FFG games include two rulebooks - a Learn-to-Play book and a reference book. So, I'm wondering if there was supposed to be a reference book included in the core set, and we just didn't get one? I doubt that FFG would intentionally include an incomplete set of rules in the core set!

But like I said, we ordered three sets and none of them had a reference book in it.

Can anyone shed any light here? Are we missing out on any other rules as well?

Thanks in advance!

I see, thank you both for the link. Was a physical version of this meant to be included in the main box as well? I'd prefer to have a print copy without having to print it myself :D

They decided to make it a "Living Document" since by the time they started printed cores, they had already changed the Rules Reference (And I think we are expecting another change relatively soon). Rather than give you a document that could be all kinds of wrong, they didn't give you anything.

However, that doesn't mean they couldn't have printed a sheet in the box to say "Look for it here!" and linked to their product page.

Actually, they printed that in the Learn to Play on page 3.

Is the other half asking people, "Have you tried turning it off and on again?"

I'd watch I.T.!

If only there was a single manual to read. Oh well!

Thanks for setting me straight, everyone.
