Whisper should be PS8![]()
What ship would you like to be OP?
Millennium Falcon. I want to see it go barrel rolling through a full TIE swarm without a scratch.

I mean, Rey can do this pretty reliably already.

Well, of course Mary Sue can do anything she wants, all the while demonstrating that any help from the boys only gets in her way!

Maybe Whisper should have Tweeks PS matching ability and no Elite skill.

Finn has something to say about that. Kanan too.
prefer none, but if i had to pick one, i'd say the A-Wing because **** yeah A-Wings.
All of them. Then everything would be balanced
Jumpmaster 5000.
oh wait

You mean, except chewie (aka the REAL hero of ep 7)
I continue to be astounded that, in general, people list beating Ren as a Mary Sue accomplishment when the poor bastard took a BOLT CASTER to the gut
He even has scenes when he's trundling around trying to suppress very obvious pain
So yeah, chewie is the reason ep 7 ended well for Rey and Finn. But, just like in a New Hope, nobody wants to give him the recognition he deserves ![]()
I'll first clarify that I don't technically want anything to be OP, but I'd love for the B-Wing to be at the top of the meta.
Raider.
Easy, truly if any ship/pilot is OP, it'll have to be Vader and Luke, in that order. Also, all ships with direct tie-ins to the original trilogy always have sway over ships that casual fans no nothing about. Casual, h***, most all Star Wars fans no nothing about...those odd ball ships should be meh.

Agreed. All throughout TFA, we are shown what Bowcasters do to people and that ain't a hit you can shrug off like it's nothing. There are actually several factors I believe led to Rey's victory from Kylo's side of the fight, but the most concrete factor is the gut shot.
Fel's Wrath.
GUNBOAT.
oh and all wave one. And two. And three. I wanna see X-wings, TIE Fighters, there little friends, BOMBERS, Firesprays! And the Falcon, even if it’s the original PWT fatty. Everything else can take a back seat. Except all the TIEs, GUNBOAT needs them so she can come to their rescue.
I would love for Wedge/Wes/Luke to be viable. but I know it's a pipe dream
TIE Fighters and X-Wings, you know, so we'd see TIE Fighters and X-Wings.
Also, Vader.
Silly question. None. All ships should have a balanced points cost based on their stats, dial, abilities and potential.
The failure to approach that ideal is what leads to op-ness, repetitive gameplay and frustration.

Not to drag this too far off topic (sorry OP), but the bowcaster's power is not entirely reliable or set in stone in that movie. It's actually one of the things that I dislike about TFA's directing, since they make such a scene about it onboard the freighter and at the Battle of Takodana. One minute it's causing explosions like a grenade tossing armored soldiers around like ragdolls, the next, just a knocking someone on their *** and wounding. Probably due to bad direction/consistency, or maybe the First Order has made serious advances in their Stormtrooper armor (that doesn't filter the air for toxins).

I will agree that Kylo was very wounded, losing blood after the shot from Chewie, and his fight with Finn.
In any case back on topic, I would prefer a game that was well balanced, and a few ships need to be brought up to speed (ex. T-65, TIE Adv), but not put over the top for their point costs.
5 hours ago, ficklegreendice said:gotta say, PTL combos REALLY well with ASLAM
basically, even given just a 2-green forward (Standard on every ship) you can then SLAM at any 2-speed maneuver from straight to hard turn after having cleared stress already emulating interceptor greens
then you can do things like ASLAM into reload into TL into ordnance (ordnance title seems to bypass weapons disabled tokens just like the cannon title)
I fully expect that to be the standard build on the PS 7
Not contradicting, but elaborating: everyone will need to SLAM first, since SLAM can't be taken as a free action. SLAM-> Adv.Slam Reload -> PTL TL works great. Probably even PTL -> Adv. Slam, given nesting actions like with Jake, TIE/v1 title, or Dauntless title. However, it's kind of like Experimental Interface only allowing upgrade actions, or PTL only allowing action-bar actions, where some aspects order really does matter.
I will answer the politically correct answer that I would not want any ship to be OP. However, I will now add the politicaly incorrect part that whenever a new wave comes out, my first impulse is "can any of those upgrades benefit my IG-88 in any way that would make it a nightmare to play against once more?"
Um... I'm being too "politicaly", I'll create the senate if this keeps up ![]()
I'll also say: I don't want anything OP, but I'd love to play around with Scyks and G1-A (particularly Zuckuss and 4-LOM) at high-tier levels. Not necessarily S-Tier or even Tier 1, but maybe Tier 1.5?
I'd love to see Interceptors being even more high-risk-high-reward. To have their feel be even more of a glass cannon glued to an afterburner that's stuck on overdrive. To the extent where the first few rounds would literally be the player trying not to blast of the board edge, but a Range 1 shot being crippling to just about anything. They say Interceptor pilots have to be just a tad crazy, after all. Same could be applied to A-Wings, too.

I'd say pulling off the victory against Ren was one of the lesser Mary-Sue-Stunts Rey pulled in TFA. The way it happened, though... oh boy. Let's just say the plot actively hands her everything she needs whenever she needs it- which is a shame, since when stuff like that happens and it feels genuinely earned, it's amazing. Just compare literally everything Leia does on the Deathstar.
But I'm totally fine with getting Chewie all the glory. He d*mn well deserves it, and could out-charisma a vast portion of the cast of TFA on any day.

I did forget about that shot. The main one I remember was the one where he shot a storm trooper square in the chest, causing the trooper to fly back, along with splinters of his armor. Though that was at close range. Hmm. ''Tis vexing.
