Kusari-Gama Grips

So the Kusari-Gama entry in the table lists them as range 1 but then the only grip listed is 2-handed: Range 2-3. I presume that this means that the range entry is erroneous but it could also mean that they're intended to have a 1 handed grip (though I can't imagine how that would work).

Well, Kusari gama would indeed need to be handled 2 handed as a whole, but it can be used long range (chain part, to strike two handed) and short range ( the kama part, where you would strike one handed).

The kama-portion can reasonably be used one handed, by grabbing the chain end with the hand or by tucking the chain into the obi. Be uncomfortable. Doable.

There's a sifu in Anchorage who demonstrated that technique...
