Tourney List Feedback

Hi all, any feedback is appreciated. Have 9 points to play with, list would not mind going second. I'm between this and a more squadron heavy LMC80/MC30c/Flotilla list. I'd let them come to me if I go 2nd, and use Strategic for Objective Token manipulation. Was wondering about putting Lando and/or Endevour on the MC80 SC - I don't really use them ever. Also, it's unclear but can Ashoka replace a token on Tantive IV and then have that transferred to another ship? Sounds legit, but maybe not. Thanks in advance!

Other than that, the liberty is gonna be hard to control because of bad nav.

Needs more Veritechs.

Also could loose boosted comms if you are bouncing squadron commands through the Strategic VCXs.

Ah good point, I think I switched out from YT 2400s to the VCXs to have better coverage for objectives, and overlooked the Flotilla upgrade.

@eliteone Are you going to name the CR90's Prometheus and Daedalus?

Slightly worried you don't have quite enough squadron commands for the number of fighters. Consider the Liberty title for a one-time big squadron punch? Usually not the best build but I worry a single GR-75 isn't enough, especially since it's tasked with providing comms net tokens as well (presumably navs to the Star Cruiser).

That would be a good add, and with Tantive IV I feel I would have enough token coverage when needed to keep Squads and Navs fed.

Verdict: Not a good list. 0-2, with wide MOV losses. Also, I'm so green to Rieekan, I forgot to keep Shara in round 2 or 3 and forgot to keep Tycho in round 3 or 4. Ugh. might've grabbed me a few extra points in the 2nd gam4s.

So...this is the important part. Why was it not a good list?

Were you out activated? Was the Liberty not effective enough? Were enemy squadron balls too tough? Would you have done better as first/second player?

Inquiring minds want to know....so you can do better next time!

I made a few mistakes that could have made my games closer. The flaws I found from my own play were different from game to game.

In the first game I should have not engaged as hard and should have been looking to activate Engine Techs more. Not doing so got the MC80L into some trouble and popped by BTAvenger. Squads did ok but my flotillas got Sliced and Squad Commands didnt get used as much as planned. I shouldve had the CR90A pick up the VIP instead of the flotilla that got 1st/lasted by an ISD2. CR90B packs a punch for a small ship, but you better kill what she is shooting or its a bad trade. Going 2nd hurt but xoulsve been mitigated better by proper movement.

The second game I picked the right objective, deployed my ships perfectly, but not my squadrons. Spread them out too much and Jan was too far away from generic Xwings and Merek just tore them up. The Liberty was ineffective, and while it packs a punch it cant hang with other big ships. She lived but only because I was more cautious with her this game.

Overall I think the list is weak primarily because the way I built the Liberty. I am going to move on from her and stop trying to get her to work in the current game. Out of 4 or 5 games shes only had one real good one, agaisnt an MSU list. (Soft spot for her because of all the X-Wing games) I liked the # of activations/placements of the list and the the objectives I ran, and the squads are good but must be run in a ball. The Vettes were pretty good but for nearly 100 points I could take an Mc30 or a better squadron pusher. Oddly enough,ilvif I was *more* aggrrsive this game I would've had a closer match.

Rieekan is amazing, if I remembered to use him when I shouldve. User error there. I didnt pull off the zombie ship block/ram, but keeping squads engaged after death was super helpful.

The other thing Im still learning is to not worry about what I am doing, but worry about what my opponent is trying to do and counter that.

I'd recommend using Madine with the Liberty and remembering it hunts smalls and mediums. It's amazing where that ship can go when used right.

Yes! I got hooked on it when it one shotted a Demo, gunnery teams activate! One shotted a Raider, and then two shotted (Long, Long+Medium) a Kittens. But it's never performed well against large capital ships lists, and lkately around me people are running Sloane VSD/ISD, or dual ISDs.
