Get Rey out of the arc or other counters?

This is my current Rey/Miranda list. This version of Rey is my standard version I've been running for a while to counter the auto-lose against RAC-lo and to mitigate some alpha strike ordnance. At 8 hull, she also sheds Pilot crits fairly often which come up in an average game...probably 1-2 on average per game.

I've been considering bumping Rey up to PS10 and giving her engine (below). This could help her get away from bombs and dodge a lot of PS9s (and some PS10s) which are prevalent. That would require flying her more like a Han, with her arc being less of a factor, but could also result in less damage over time. Of course, RAC-lo returns to being practically auto-lose, but...can't cover everything. Any thoughts?

Why do you have scavenger crane equipped when there are no upgrade cards on the falcon that you can recover with it?

Scavenger Crane can recover Modifications like Countermeasures.

It's been said before, but it'll all depend on how often you think RAClo will show at whatever event you're playing in. CM/Scav is potentially stronger than VI/EU now that arc dodging is being made increasingly moot by the presence of turrets and 180 degree arcs and the prevalence of ordnance.

I have always felt like Miranda/Falcon is basically flying 1 and a half ships, but half of Miranda might be enough ship to carry you out of games where Rey is destroyed swiftly or is ineffective. Why not use a "full" ship for the points like AB/EU rebel nym, Poe or Norra?

I think the original option is stronger. Sure, the PS10 EU version might arc-dodge, but if you want to arc dodge, use Han. Rey is a heavy hitter, and that needs to be her recourse.

Thanks for the input, guys. I agree...I do think Determination/SC/CM Rey is better, particularly paired with another PS 8 in Miranda. Just last night I had a game where I popped CM twice and discarded a Pilot crit which came up naturally.

I disagree. I've been flying this 40-point Miranda since the FAQ was leaked and haven't been sad about it. I've flown all of the canonically "good" ships. Poe hits like a wet noodle, Norra can easily die before firing a second time and ABT Rebel Nym is just asking for him to die early. I've tried to make them work, especially Poe. From what I've seen and played, no other Rebel pilot/ship can hold a candle to Miranda at 40-points.

I've been playing around with Rey/Norra lately. We don't have a ton of bombs in my local, and people generally prefer the classic arc dodging style of x wing. You can put Norra about anywhere with BB8, but flying her is not simple. C3PO keeps her alive a good bit longer normally.

Minus Miranda.. I can't fly her to save my life.

I built a similar Rey since I haven't seen too much Kylo lately. Expertise instead of determination. but I really like the countermeasures/crane trick. It saved me against imp-aces yesterday.

One thing to consider is Nein Numb in his T70 with snapshot, R3A2, auto-thrusters, pattern analyser. He can shut down Rac with stress (maybe even double stress!) so he cannot use Kylo. He also slots in perfectly for the points with Rey. He's a little fragile, but I have a feeling you know how to fly a T70 as well as how to use snap-shot.

Any time I've run Norra with Rey, I get her killed. Maybe I'd be particularly hesitant to run her without regen, although I do think that's an interesting build.

I've gotten pretty decent with Miranda, but I do still get her killed every once in a while. When that does happen, my opponent usually has to sell out to get her and the rest of my list can pick up the slack.

I do love me some T-70 and Snap Shot, it's like chocolate and peanut butter! I don't think I could roll with that Expertise locally, though...just too much stress dealing (fair amount of Asajj).
