I'm a big fan of the ShadowCaster for Scum. It's big and moves fast. You can use it to dish out stress with Asajj or to tractor beam people around with Ketsu. It's about the only ship I use when I fly scum, except sometimes when I use a Firespray with bombs.

The Jm5k is a really good and efficient ship. You get a lot for your points. The same can be said about the Scurrg Bomber.
When your favorite pilots are Asajj and Fenn, then I would recommend the Jm5k. Then if you want to fly a very competitive list, which is a really good and (in my opinion) fun list to fly, then you can fly the Parattanni list. The basic Parattanni list is 98 points and people use the two remaining points different.
Fenn, Mindlink, title, Autothrusters (32)
Asajj, Mindlink, Latts Razzi (40)
Contracted Scout, Mindlink (26)

Other mabey less competitive but very fun Scum ships to fly are the Quadjumper and the HWK-290 (The HWK is original a rebel ship, but with the Most Wanted Expansion you can it as Scum - espicially Palob and Mux can be very fun to fly). Both ships are a menace to fly against.

I'm in the same shoes, I wanna fly Scum but I don't want the toilet seats.

My solution is gonna be Guns for Hire. The new upgrades for the Kirhcxhxyhxhdsaz and StarViper are going to be nice, and it comes with some fun new pilots too. I can't say that they are going to destroy the current tournament meta, but they are definitely going to be fun to fly.
