I played with a (proxy) Ashoka twice in the previous weeks, and both times she felt 'meh'.
She dies really fast unless you roll a dodge (2 strong hits, or 3 medium ones).
You can use her last on your turn to jump in, hit, then next turn activate, hit, jump back.
That is decent, but nearly any figure which you 'activate last then first' can do well that way (Han for instance, seems a lot better at this since he can hit at range and gets an extra attack end of round).
So for what she does, I'd rather bring another figure. That being said, I haven't really gotten to use her in a Spy based list, which might be where she shines.
I was really looking forward to her, since she looks very decent on paper (good attack, good movement), but it seems she is 'okay but not amazing'.
Getting back to one of my own questions: still haven't seen the new skirmish maps... anyone have pictures?

I mean its basically a Massive sized IG 88 walking around with one extra health, which means it will be much easier to take down with line of sight problems for it. I really want it to do well though- I was just hoping for some sort of "massive vehicle" upgrade (for the small tank and the ATST in particular though)
It's just like the first couple years of a CCG or the old Hasbro minis. The game will go through periods of being more and less balanced as stuff comes out.If it lasts long enough you will usually see it hit a critical mass of options that make everything pretty good, if used carefully. All good things come to those who wait.
I liked what I played of Ahsoka. She dies, yes, but she is one of the cheapest pierce 3 characters available. She can slice through Vader like butter and it's extraordinarily difficult to escape her reach. Moreover, her command card is a fantastic value for one point. Any figure with three or less health remaining either dies the moment they declare an attack or has to avoid attacking her altogether.
Edited by mellowthelloMany of the newer maps may benefit the Melee figure.
i would rather have too many good figures than too many broken, must-have figures. I think Ahsoka is great because she is fun to play. She also has a great set of attributes Leader-Force User-Spy.

Having a hard time justifying including Ko-Tun in any lists. Comparing her to eRangers you're basically paying 3 points for 2 Hp and a green die. You lose a reroll and the hide on kill in exchange for the power token and canceling the dodge. Just doesn't seem to cut it for me.

Ha ha, I hate that dodge as a Rebel player. Those Weequays can handle white dice defense for the Mercs, but we noble Rebels don't have too many options (especially if I don't want to play hunters and so can't use Heightened Reflexes). So, it depends on how common white dice get and how annoyed I become :-)

I have been very impressed with just how far Ahsoka's reach extends into the board from the deployment zone. Her force jump ability combined with Smooth Landing usually seems good enough to give her an attack on the first round against an enemy parked on an objective, but if she forgoes a power token it extends to 9 spaces deep into the map, and 11 spaces in with Gideon, half of which can cross through difficult and impassable terrain. The ability to deep strike into enemy territory and get an attack off on round 1 is pretty neat for a melee user, who are usually stuck wasting round 1 getting into position without attacking. Then next round she can attack again and then jump back up to 8 spaces to get to safety. She also brings the welcome ability to hunt white dice characters thanks to Twin Sabers.
You definitely have to go last first with her though, or she crumples.

This week I ran a list w/ Ko-Tun + Motivation, eRangers, eEchoBaseTroopers x2 & Hera. Having Ko-Tun near the eRangers (who all got a DMG TOKEN from Ready Weapons) was really nice against my opponent's Bossk, who had one DODGE I was able to remove.
I don't know if Ko-Tun + eRangers is better than JKLuke + eRangers or eRangers x2, but she definitely felt right working with them.

Thank you for pointing that out about Bossk, for some reason IA-Armies has her Dead Precise removing an evade result rather than a Dodge. You could actually fight her into a list with 2 eRangers and Rebel Landing Gear (Hera+Gideon+3po), I wonder if that would be competitive.

Let's stick with that!
Rebel Landing Gear..... man, that's cool
