Am I too OP?

By gothound, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

They told me I could be anything I wanted...so I became an Imperial Assault Figure! I just need everyone to rate the deployment card so I can make sure its not too OP or too weak for that matter.

I'm not looking to become a "meta monster", just a casually fun brawler figure who gets into the thick of the action and starts whacking stormtroopers Jyn Odan Erso style! n̶

Here are some poorly focused pictures of my Hero Forge Model that goes with the card.

Exhaust a command card? There are just a couple of command cards that stay in play after being played, and I'm not sure they exhaust. Did you mean exhaust a Skirmish Attachment?

Note that it seems Take Charge can be used after another action that contains attacks, but not the other way around.

Pierce 2 is spelled wrong.

Dunno about being OP or not, but you managed to cram an impressive amount of typos into a very confined space. Also, you don't exhaust Command Cards. You play them. You're probably thinking about Deployment Cards.

My guess is he meant "deployment card".

I don't know, I wouldn't say this is too overly OP.

Price and health are roughly similar to Terro.

Image result for terro captain

His damage output looks like this

Yours looks like this (when not focused)

However, if you were to be focused (which, given your cleave, I think you could manage as long as you can survive) it would look like this

So, I don't know, I think that it seems balanced enough. You don't have flamethrower, but you can (somehow) attack twice each turn. For a cheap heavy hitter, that's not bad.

Also, as stated earlier, Cleave seems like it would pair well with Windup.

I think the biggest problem you're going to have is convincing your friends to let you play with this. :P

edit: Where'd my graphs go? :(

I think you're a bit underpowered, if this figure is going to play in skirmish. In particular, your entire ability set is built around the idea that the target of your attack doesn't move *after* your activation is over. If that figure has activated already this round, that's not a huge deal; but what are the odds a player (who knows this figure's activation set) isn't going to move away from you ASAP w/ an Imperial Officer or command card?

Obi-Wan is a comparable figure for your defense stats... and he typically survives 2-3 attacks before the next attack takes him off the board. Your banking that you'll be able to survive to the end of the round adjacent to an enemy. That's pretty tough to do, IMO.

My suggestion is to put your attack abilities in play during your activation where you are NOT adjacent to a foe:

+1 EVADE, SURGE: +2 DMG, SURGE: Pierce 1, SURGE: Cleave 1 DMG

Windup: If you have moved at least 3 spaces before declaring an attack, you become Focused for that attack.

Take Charge: At the end of your activation, you may exhaust one friendly Deployment Card to perform a free attack.

SURGE: Gain 2 Movement Points.

FYI: I'm from Lexington, KY. Nice to see a neighbor on the boards!

I didn't crunch the numbers, but I wouldn't pay 7 for a solo figure that rolls only two dice. I think you're underpowered. Nothing personal :-)

That's a good point @ryanjamal . Maybe he needs a static +2 DMG in addition to the self Focus.

You're a bit underpowered atm. Here's what I'd change.

Change windup to: [special action]: move up to two spaces, then if you are adjacent to an enemy figure, you become focused.

Remove the action requirement from Take Charge and change to: Once during your activation, you may exhaust a friendly deployment card to perform an attack.

Makes him kind of a neat hybrid between Jedi Luke and Davith.

Also I feel like if he is wielding a bat or a pipe he should have a stun ability.

yes, I think Take charge should not be an action, and you should get stun

How does one justify pierce and cleave with a riot baton?
