If I reveal a green maneuver with BB-8 and Stay on Target on board, can I trigger BB-8 for the barrel roll, then change my dial? They both are "when you reveal a (green) maneuver" triggers.
BB-8 + Stay on Target
Yep.
If you’re running those cards together I strongly recommend Primed Thrusters so you don’t lose the ability to trigger BB-8 on subsequent rounds. Primed Thrusters will keep the T-70’s Boost available after you use Stay On Target.
I've done this with Nien and pattern analyzer. Every turn I'd dial in a 3-forward and choose between that, 3-bank, 3-turn and 3-talon. Nien's ability lets him destress quite nicely (even if you need to boost with PA to get into range), and he's basically a PS7 pre-nerf phantom (that doesn't hit as hard). Once after a really bad start to a match (I traded Ello and Snap for 1.5 bombers), I solo'd the rest of the list (half a bomber and 2 PS5 SFs) with him.
Ok so I've been using Nien for the first time lately and wasn't sure, does boosting into range 1 count for removing his stress?
It depends. You have to be in range 1 when you receive the stress.
If you have Primed Thrusters on the ship and K-Turn somewhere where you're not at range 1 of an enemy, you'll take the stress, even if you could boost into range 1. The "Check Pilot Stress" step happens before you could perform an action, and you won't discard the stress.
If you have Pattern Analyzer, you can reverse the order of some steps in the process: you'll be able to take an action before you receive the stress from having performed a red move in the "Check Pilot Stress" step. If you're able to get into range 1 with a boost, when you eventually gain the stress, you'll discard it.
There are probably a bunch of other examples. Like if you use PTL to boost (or Expert Handling to barrel roll) into range 1, you'll discard the stress--but you'll keep the stress if you start at range 1, then re-position out of range 1.

No. A boost is an action, not a maneuver. Page 7 of the Rules Reference.
Edit: Nevermind; I thought the question was about Nien Nunb Crew.

Ok, that's just dirty. ![]()
But very limited due to his PS7

Actually, quite the opposite; because you can point him at a PS 8 or above (or 7 if you've initiative) and know they'll be there when you need them to be at R1 to shed the stress.
