Hey I just recently bought the core set and a couple of Asylum packs and are hoping to get my friends to join the bandwagon (even though we most likely will be using just my cards)

I was thinking what the diffrent specialities of the factions is?

I have gleaned a little by looking over my collection, but what I want to know is if there is a central overview somewhere on this?

As for faction specialties:

Syndicate: Misdirection, disruption and rushing.

Agency: Wounding, equiping weapons (attachments)

Miskatonic: Card draw, Investigation (scoring lots of succestokens)

Cthulhu: Slow, but strong monsters

Shub-Niggurath: Lots of monsters, destruction of support cards

Hastur: Insanity, cancelling of abilities and events, discard

Yog-Sothoth: Spellcasting, arcane struggles.

Syndicate is no longer a rushing faction. Miskatonic university, neutral cards and hastur are better than syndicate for that, now.

Cthulhu has also a few destruction cards.

Yog has no more spellcasting. This faction works a little with the discard pile. But juste a little. it has a lot of combat icons too.

Yog-Sothoth: pine car derby, merit badges, lawn ornaments.

But all this was back in the CCG days. Unless you're playing mixed border, which is much tougher to do than it sounds. Otherwise, just jam the cards they give you into a deck. It should almost be enough.
