I never really minded Ewoks the way everyone else seems to. These Porgs definitely rub me up the wrong way, though.

Having apparently not seen any of the promo material on porgs, I'm curious what it's doing in the cockpit of a Starship without hands.

I doubt there's a clear distinction any more, in all honesty. tbh the fakest looking thing in that Falcon cockpit shot, to me, was Chewie and that was probably about 70% puppet/costume!

and I sure hate how Obi Wan was turned into a side character in ANH and just a ghost in the rest of the movies. He was totally a main character for 3 movies and then nope, step aside old man, it’s time to get these good looking youngsters to take your place.

The Porg and wolves in the clips in the trailer are most certainly CGI.

Obi Wan was never the main character in this Skywalker Saga. Rey I am 99% sure is going to turn out to be Kylos sister and thus a Skywalker. I just rather seen Luke spending the last 20years becomming an awesome force user, rather than her being born wit it.

I don't know what was spoiled, I have only seen the two trailers and a couple of shots of the new ships, and I think I will refrain from any more until the movie comes out, as the more I see, the more I have a bad feeling about this.

Rey isn’t a Kenobi. Behind the scenes, too much back story is needed. Kenobi did not have children to be the parent of Rey.

Rey isn’t a Solo. That would be very bad writing; both Leia and Han spoke with her and neither showed any signs of being her parent.

Rey could be a Skywalker. This is plausible with only a simple monologue to explain.

Rey could be a clone, though I hope not. That seems like lazy writing to me. (This includes Palpatine or Luke or anyone else)

Rey could be like Anakin, created by the force to bring balance.

My bet is on Skywalker.

I love the argument of breaking lore... the MJ5K breaks lore, the HWK brakes lore, the Raider was lore before the lore was lore... its a game, just push the plastic and cardboard around, make wookie noises, pew pew noises, and tie fighter ion engine noises and have some fun.

Breaking lore is a minor, albeit annoying issue. If the Silencer has missiles but we never see them used (like the Strikers bombs) it wouldn't be a huge deal. My issue is that it appears, at least how the trailer is cut, that Kylo might end up killing Leia with missiles (he's certainly considering it). If this is true then omitting the missiles from the Silencer would be akin to omitting the torpedoes on the X-Wing.
