This is as much as I'll say for it; I'll watch it, but I won't be in any queues for it. I'll happily wait a few weeks, because nothing enthralled me about that trailer, and the last two releases both seriously disappointed.

I've watched it a couple of times and I was very unmoved. The TFA trailers gave me goosebumps, still do. This one... I didn't like.

They (FFG) have no 'splaining to do. The use what little information is provided by Disney. If Disney feel the need for so much secrecy they won't release the names of T-70 pilots or TIE Silencer specs until after the film releases, there's very little FFG can do about it. Especially since Disney as licensor gets final approval on their products.

Must be all kinds of fun trying to get these products in the shops in time for the film's release. I mean, it's not as though these things are subject to change at a moment's notice, is it?

FFG could just release the products a little later to ensure accuracy. Which is more important to you, quality products or sub-par products on the shelf earlier?

Again, they work under Disney's directive. If Disney want film tie-in products announced the week of Force Friday, FFG need to announce the week of Force Friday. If Disney want products released alongside the cinematic release of the film (and the holiday season), then FFG need to release alongside the cinematic release of the film (and holiday season).

When you're talking about a product license for one of the most expensive and marketable brands in history, it's pretty naive to assume any kind of flexibility.

So that's what's wrong with the Silencer - it needed to be the Black & White scheme. Ah well, I guess that's what paint pots exist for...

I'm guessing after the initial announcement Disney felt it didn't look evil enough (or that it blended in with the other First Order TIEs too much). So they went for the all black look.

Also a new poster dropped yesterday. Anyone else wonder why Poe was on the side with the bad guys?

This trailer left me a bit empty. Filled with red herrings and the effects just don't seem up to par? That Porg and "saltwolf" looked reeeally CGI to me. A bit to many Empire referrences. Luke seemingly being pushed to a very side character role? I have a bad feeling about this, but still hope for some good storytelling in this one.

Made up animals tend to look made up in general, but remember that the CGI will still be work in progress.

Never bothered my that the Taun Tauns looked "wonky" They had a really "real" feel to the anyways. Also the design of the saltwolves reminded me more of something from Final Fantasy, than a SW creature. SW creatures tend to be more than an earth animals with a twist (and yes I know there are ducks on Naboo ) Futhermore I already hate the porg, thanks aggressive toy marketing!

There are puppets of the porgs and ‘salt wolves’ so maybe you are confusing Good puppets with bad cgi? I dunno I thought everything looked awesome.

and I sure hate how Obi Wan was turned into a side character in ANH and just a ghost in the rest of the movies. He was totally a main character for 3 movies and then nope, step aside old man, it’s time to get these good looking youngsters to take your place.

Silencer looks amazing.

Upsilon has a few scenes as well.

That booster on the back of the prototype T-70 looks pretty cool.
