Warrior Poet vs Honored General rules

By Cmcmillen, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

Sorry if it's been asked or ruled on, but couldn't find an official FAQ.

Warrior Poet has an action that does -1/-1.

Honored General just gives +1M to Lion characters.

Both of them say that the character has to be at conflict and it affects each participating character.

So question is, if I move a character into combat through "Charge" or other means, are they affected by the modifications?

I know if Warrior Poet hasn't performed her action yet, than its yes for her... I more mean after she has done it a new character is brought in, for regards to her.

When Warrior Poet triggers her ability, she will only effect characters that are participating in the conflict at that time.

Honored General has a constant ability.
A constant ability becomes active as soon as its card enters play and remains active while the card is in play.
Some constant abilities continuously seek a specific condition (denoted by words such as "during," "if," or "while").
The effects of such abilities are active any time the specified condition is met.

A Lion character that is Charged into a conflict, after Warrior Poet has triggered, will get the +1Mil from Honored General, but not the penalty from the Poet.
