Hi!
So i've never painted minis before and have barely ever painted in general, but ive Really been wanting to do something to make the ships look cooler. While its not fantastic - it does make me excited to paint more cause i think it turned out alright.
i used citadel paints and a pretty light wash from the black - cause my flgs doesnt carry nuln oil. What do you guys think??
Pretty interesting and definitely different.
I can't see but did you do a transition layer between the red and white, e.g. a pink and one between the white and VSD grey, e.g. a light gray?
If not, the transition seems a bit...abrupt.
I didnt, my goal was to make it look like a white stripe was painted on it, not that the ship itself had been painted in dry dock or something. Its not meant to be a gradient, though that would honestly probably look better lol

Doesn't carry Nuln oil? That is crazy talk, did you ask if you can special order it? Nice job regardless.

That does seem odd. Who carries Citadel paints and doesn't carry Nuln Oil?

In all fairness the guy i was talking to didnt know a ton about the paints, but i looked for abput 10 minutes and didnt see it anywhere. Didnt think to ask about a special order since Amazon
