Isn't it quite hilarious that we all wanted a nimble Rebel ship and an Imperial Bomber, but instead got the opposite?

Indeed. We all really wanted more ways for rebels to deliver bombs and another turret primary ship.

With a 2 attack, 1 agility the Resistance Bomber doesn't bother me much except for the Ordnance Silos or whatever they're called. Being able to throw bombs out ahead of your ship is going to be nasty!

We're fast approaching the 2 month warning. I'm excited for this one. TFA was good but didn't get me fired up like Rogue One.

Rogue one had the Real Original DS, Vader slaughtering sand people, oops I mean younglings, oh um no it was Rebels, that’s right.
it had an absolutely increadible space battle that made me want to play Armada.
its hard to compete with that, even with the OT cast returning in actual sequels.

Honestly I’d rather have seen Vader in his TIE Advanced in Rogue One. I rather felt like his boarding party was a bit over done. I’m aware I’m probably in a minority.
Looking forward to TLJ though. Bets on Luke surviving to the end credits?
My bet: Chewbacca and the droids are the only OT characters who escape alive.

Good, dropping a moon on Chewie in the EU was grade A **** writing. Chewie deserves to live a long life for putting up with all this Galactic foolishness that was all the humans’ fault anyway.

No I actually liked TFA, saw it three times in one week. I liked Rogue One as well, especially since it showed a different side of the events surrounding the original movie, and included things that were missing in TFA. Of course there were things missing in R1 too.

Couldn’t agree more! And for Chewbacca to live a long life means we’ll be seeing him in all future sequels - in Wookiee years he’s still a millennial.
Also, I definitely agree with you on the whole Rogue One/TFA thing. Rogue One had such a real Star Wars feel, and had such an awesome story. Given how good of a movie it was, I don’t think it’s any slam on TFA to say that Rogue One was way better - because Rogue One was one of the best movies ever made!

Probably left on the cutting room floor. I guess that would be the trash file.
I enjoyed TFA, and I've got a fair amount of faith that Rian Johnson will pull out something interesting. But after seeing Blade Runner 2049 on the very big screen, getting anything else good this year (even you, Thor) is just tears in rain.

I'm really keen for TLJ, especially since its been edited to be 'less dark'. I want me some gritty star wars action.
I would have bet on Luke pulling a Kenobi to 'save' Ben in this one, but with Carrie's passing and subsequent re-write for Leia, maybe Luke will survive until ep.9? I guess it depends on whether Leia dies in ep.8 or 9, I can't see them killing off both Luke and Leia in one film.
An epic space battle will be happening in TLJ though so this makes me happy.

Edited by Jo JoTotal wishful thinking on my part, but I'm kind of hoping that we see a new ship of some sort in the new trailer, which leads to an announcement tomorrow of the missing SKU being added to Wave 13.
That said, I don't actually expect that to happen. But my inner-child fanboy is definitely hoping!
