What map to buy?

By Ram, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

I posten this in the main forum, but Its probably a better fit in here. I want to get myself a skirmish battle map. Casual competative fun play only, no worries about tournament legality. From these maps, which is the most fun/technical/most tactical map?

Nelvaanian war zone map

Training ground

ISB headquarters

Coruscant landfill

Which one do you recommend that I get"

That's a great question. I personally enjoyed the ISB headquarters map, although I often heard others complain. Frankly I had a lot of trouble winning on either scenario, so I found it a good challenge. Coruscant seemed to get the most complaints, and I don't disagree. However, it did make for some interesting battles in the interior square (where the Dianoga lurks). I heard Training Ground is broken, but I didn't find it exciting either way. Nelvaanian is a cool one as well, although I don't find the objectives as good. Also, it would be a tough map to use Jabba on.

So my vote is ISB headquarters.

If no concerns about tournament legality, consider printing maps. You can print off many for the price of 1 official mat.

Yeah, i have been checking out the printable map project. Its really awesome. For now I thinking i will just go with ISB hq to start with, IT feels like a general consensus that is a good map. Thanls all.

NONE. Holy cow. I just got my first one in the mail and it will be my last unless I see some OT ones that are being sold for dirt cheap. The printing on them is just not sharp and pretty enough to justify the 40 USD that most independent retailers are asking. The tiles are a pain but look 100% better than this roll out warzone I just got. If I got more of these they'd have to be like $15.
