In game I mostly play Imperial, but if we are talking "general" Star Wars, the Rebel Ships are works of art.

1. A-Wing - F1 Race Car.....in space! If I could pick one ship to be a trained pilot for if it existed in real life it would be this one.

2. X-Wing - Looks like a awesome hybrid of WW1 and WW2 planes......in space!

3. Tie Phantom - Looks exactly like what I would expect an Imperial recon ship to be, aggressive, agile, pointy, basically looks like a laser rifle....in space!

4. Tie Fighter - An absolute classic, the most "realistic" star wars space ship, looks like a dangerous satellite......in space!

5. Hwk-290 - Jedi Knight Dark Forces II is the greatest game of all time in my opinion. Better than Half-Life. Scrappy, scruffy, and probably a little bit smelly....in space!

6. Decimator - The first time I ever saw this was on the table for X-Wing......its just so badass looking.....basically looks like a mad max speed boat.....in space!

2. T-70's screaming across the water on Takodana
3. Tie Interceptors swarming Rebel fighters with incredible speed and overwhelming numbers at the battle of Endor
4. Wedge's X-Wing dancing through the superstructure of the Death Star
5. Tie Fighters as a legion of them launch from the shield gate over Scarif

Honorable mention: Tie Bombers trying to flush out the Falcon in the Hoth Asteroid Field

Tie Predator? Seriously?! The rest of the list is fine, but the Tie Predator is the worst of the worst in a sea of bad EU Tie designs. Just look at it!

GUNBOATs are cool, but it’s hard to beat the classics. I like A-Wings, and other than that, I like my starfighters to have big noticeable wings that make them look like airplanes. Because Star Wars is definitely more WWII-dogfighting than space combat (whatever that would be). So I guess TIE Striker would be my “honorable mention”.

TIE Interceptor (in XW vs TF I flew way too many ladder duels in this to not love it)

A-Wing (too bad my favorite 2 ships are worthless in this game)

GUNBOAT (elegant like a shuttle, deadly like, well, a gunboat)

Skipray (so much WEG RPG fun the last 25 years, and this bad boy was often our nemesis)

X-Wings (oddly enough Rouge One and Blue Squadron rekindled my enjoyment of these guys... classic)

Honorable mention: ARC (a cool little Clonewar Skipray) and Tie Advanced (Avenger, x1 and v1... all so cool)
