So now that we have a little bit of a glimpse at this new set, what kind of characters do you think we’ll see? I’ll be interested to see which blue villains we’ll get... there don’t seem to be many left!

Here’s my predictions: (italic are already known)

red villain: Veteran Stormtrooper , Battle Droid, Admiral Yularen, Sergeant Kreel (from the same comics as Aphra)

blue villain: Young Palpatine, Fifth Brother, Darth Maul (Phantom Menace), Inquisitor (generic)

yellow villain: Dr. Aphra, Boba Fett , Azmorigan, Weequay Pirate

red hero: Leia (old), Wedge Antilles , Cassian Andor, Clone Trooper

blue hero: Luke Skywalker (young) , Anakin (young), Obi Wan (young) , Jedi Healer

yellow hero: Han Solo (young) , Zeb Orrelios, Saw Guererra (old), Rebel Operative

I hope they give us a young Leia at 8/11 or 8/12. We should be able to field young versions of the main heroes together.

Luckily, the current Leia now works elite with new Luke or new Han! I was very excited when I saw that.

Can we do E Luke E Leia and E Han E Chewie and all the other famous combos with these. I still want to play E Jedi Knight Luke personally and the plot cards really look like a possibility since Luke has famously been 1 point shy of where he should be and been needing buffs. None of the 10 points really help him as is and there are a lot of 9 and 8 point characters that just really want to work with him so a 1 point or 2 point plot card will really help Luke out. Unforunately there may still be better 28 point character combos that get helped the same way.

You're forgetting that Obi-Wan has already been spoiled as a blue hero

Black sun will be in next packs, not this one I think.

Another ig88, one that can pair interchangeably with the other elite, maybe like a 15/20 but if you run both at 15 then you can choose to make one of them elite.

I agree! Greedo is really a fun character, and very underappreciated in my opinion. And there are tons of great options for Jedi from the Clone Wars. The one I'd really like to see is Ima-Gun Di, but the odds of him actually showing up are pretty low!

Also, it makes me just a little sad that in the set called Legacies, there will most likely be no characters from Legacy (Cad Skywalker, Darth Krayt, etc.) but Destiny is pretty firmly adhering to Disney canon, and I think I was also one of the very few fans who liked those comics anyway!

I would like to see the classic ESB bounty hunters be able to be played together. That is what I want to see.

Can't even do Dr. Aphra with eIG-88, so no 'droid' deck there.

BTW, the plan (subject to change) was to release this core in December. So I would expect several characters from the Last Jedi to be in this set.

For real variety I was hoping young Luke would have been yellow. He wasn't in military and didn't even know of the Force in the beginning of ANH

As soon as he was aboard the Falcon, he got trained in the Force by Obi-Wan and showed skills. By the time he got to the Death Star, he already took his first steps. He also used the Force to blow up the Death Star. So, I think it is fitting that he is a blue character. The Force is strong with him.

.... but we do need the Red Luke and Han characters... in the ST armor.

..... these cards are just like action figures now, one for every outfit.

I wish they'd start thinking and balancing for a type of Epic format. 40 char points and 50 card decks. Would make for a much better game, I think.

Why would it be better? It just makes the game longer and certain combos much easier to do. If anything it could start to break the game.

If you like the two to three round pace of the game, then it wouldn't. If you think more health on the board and less draw consistency makes for a better game, then you'd like it.

I personally hate the competitive scene in this game. It's over too quick and FN or Poe/Maz have already started to break the game. I wish there was a different format that encouraged longer games impacted more by playing skill than what's currently out there (although FN does require some playing and deck building skill at least).

It's a common enough complaint to at least warrant the thought of a secondary format.

On the box we saw a blue die with Yoda on it. Maybe we would have him on next set.

Does that Obi-Wan make you think games are going to be longer? Crazy damage output. Mono-Hero blue is as fast as anything out there with Something Familiar, My Ally is the Force, etc. That new Obi is going to be silly fast.

For Hero Yellow, would like to see a Captain Panaka (I thought he was a great character with a solid role, and his outfit was pretty cool in Ep 1!), and either a 7-pt Gungan warrior and/or Captain Roos Tarpals! (The Gungans had some cool weapons/shields!)

Not sure if it's "canon", but I read that Panaka later became an officer in the service of the Empire, so maybe a Villain Red card could be in the game sometime?

(And oh yeah, for the record, while I like a lot of the Gungan stuff, I hate Jar-Jar as much as nearly everyone else, so I'm fine if he stays out of it )

Sarlacc Pit as a battlefield? I like this. How about....Claim: While you control this battlefield you may force an opponent do deal 1 damage for each additional action they take. (You must pay 1 to claim this battlefield) Something with that mechanic may help choke decks punish action cheating and help slow decks to claim by disrupting aggro deck's resources. What do you think?

I think it might backfire... it rewards action chaining because both players are competing to get more actions in before somebody claims. Also, it’s quite possible for the speedy deck to roll in, resolve a ton of damage, get a resource, and claim. Then the opponent can’t do anything, because their actions didn’t chain.

I like your idea though! Maybe word it like this:

“While you control the battlefield, all opponents must pay an additional resource to play any card with the Ambush header.”

Yoda has pretty much been confirmed with the Asmodea Italia Facebook page. They are doing another Quiz thing like with IG-88 but its Yoda so pretty much 100% confirmed.

If they follow the same plan of the first 3 sets, the second set (due on March/April) will be of Dicember movie. Spirit was on Rogue One this year.
