Maybe, 4 paragraphs, if that. But I'll take as much Vader as I can get.

I only have the Unabridged Audiobook, rather than the printed text, so I can't really judge paragraph length to spoken word :).

I used to love listening to the Star Wars audio books. I don't know why I ever got out of that habit.

Marc Thompson did a fantastic job of the narration. The Falsetto of the women were a little disappointing at times, and ideally could have used another voice actor to do... But his impressions of Thrawn as we know, Palpatine and Tarkin were almost spot on. Those parts were very immersive.

Ice T read for a D&D audio book. When he was talking about the trouble he had with the dialog he said "Motherf****** talk like Yoda"

This is relevant to my interests.....

Yes...must have more good Imperial-approved novels! Zahn's first Thrawn novel was fantastic, so I'm really looking forward to this one.

Sweet

a new book....with the God-Emperor Thrawn!!!!

Epic

I know why because cassettes audiobook were cheaper than CD audiobook, if I remember correctly. Now with audible (shameless plug, can I have a free book?) It's alot easier. Also my local library stopped carrying as many when cassettes went out. Please for the love of all that is good support your local library, free books are awesome.

It was cheaper when they were cassettes, but so was just about everything else. There used to be a mom and pop bookstore near me that had an exchange program for audio books. You had to pay like a $10 annual fee but then you could swap out one book at a time for like $1 and they always added at least one copy of every new star wars book that came out on tape. I really hated to see them close.

It's such a shame. Sounds like it was an awesome place.

Star Wars audio books are the only ones I have ever found that have such extensive ambient music and sound effects. It really helps you dive into the universe. Disney is making me a sucker and causing me to buy each book twice (written and audio).

Necro-ing my own thread to post the cover art. Enjoy.

Oh.my.god

that cover looks incredible!!!! I NEED IT

Urgh. Summer.

Why isn’t it here yet? I’m approaching 60 listen-throughs of Thrawn already...
