Do green turns really make advanced sensors bonkers?

It's only ridiculous against any ship that moves before Kylo and also doesn't have a turret. Autothrusters definitely isn't as good as regen. But the extra health + Autothrusters will certainly make him viable. I just don't think he's going to be ridiculous as people say. There are still many things in this game that can dish out a lot of attack dice, and Kylo's defense ceiling against secondary weapons is fixed to 3 evades thanks to a lack of Evade action. He'll be perfectly fine against consistent damage attacks (TLT) but will suffer aganst burst damage (ordnance).

If you will be able to get him in your arc sight

I don't think it's about the meta, I think the ship is overcosted 2-3pts and would have been in any meta since Wave 8.

The Defender and the Silencer have the same basic stat line (3 attack, 3 defense, 6 health.) They have the same action bar, but the silencer has the boost action as well. The two ships have very different upgrade bars, and Defenders rarely use theirs. I'm going to assume the Silencer has at least as good a dial as the Defender, though I think it will be "as good" in a very different way.

So. For all that we can see the two ships are, naked, very similar, let's compare costs.

We don't have a PS1 Silencer, but the general rule of thumb is to take the highest PS ship, subtract 1 point per PS, 1 point for an EPT slot, and 1 point if there's a pilot ability.

PS1 Delta Squadron Pilot: 30 points.

PS1 (Adjusted) Silencer (35-8-1-1): 25 points.

At release, the Delta Defender was considered to be 2-3 points overcosted. A theoretical PS1 Silencer will be _5 points cheaper_ than the Delta Defender without a title for or upgrade.

I'm not saying this ship will be OP. Heck! I'm not even saying it's going to be competitive. But I think it's way too early to call this ship underpowered or overcosted.

Having said all that: the Imperial faction is in rough shape. Even if the Silencer is OP, I don't expect it to win a bunch of competitions, unless it also synergizes amazingly well with other strong Imperial ships.

I doubt it will matter all that much in the long run. Reposition is inherently worse after movement. Actions are good, but pulling off multiple actions only make waves if the platform is cheap and the ps is high. The exception to this is evade. Evade is non die reliant and always useful. The other actions that aren't repositions ( epic actions excluded since none of those ships have good greens) are situational or die reliant. So, therefore, the silencers lack of evade just makes this combo neat, without being great.

Nope, daredevil and EI both give you stress, so unless there's an inspiring recruit nearby you'll end with 1 stress.

you missed the part where youre making a green turn. thats what this thread is about, green turns and advanced sensors. so yes you get 1 stress then shed it

No, he hasn't. Both EI and Daredevil will give you a stress, for a total of 2, then you shed 1 on the green move, leaving you with 1.

But with Primed Thrusters, you can still boost OR barrel roll next turn before clearing stress with a green.

Oh no a stress token! If Daredevil and EI doesn’t get you a kill shot with some mods then WHY DID DO IT? Pulling off that kind of shenanigans is not something you should or could do every round. You only do it when the benifit is worth the extra points, like knowing you will splash a ship that round and don’t necessarily need to green and distress the following round. It’s the kind of crazy wacky stuff that requires thinking ahead several rounds, something I’m not too good at but also something that national and world champs make look easy.

this is also the crafty wacky combo stuff that I love to see in this game.

Never said it was a bad idea or wouldn't work. Just correcting some flawed math.
