If this ship had evade...

I think if a ship has the evade action it will be next to useless. Its a slot taken up to often be worse or the same as an action on the action bar. On ships without evade actions it might see some use but intensity is probably better in those cases.

Depends on the price. The Falcon title is very similar to it, doesn't have the condition, and is only 1 point. I could see this being a 1 or 0 point card, TBH.

And if it's zero points then suddenly Biggs has an evade action for 1 point...

Palob: TLT, Title, Dengar Crew (+ sprinkles if you are so inclined) for focus+evade+rerolls. Palob naturally want's to stay close to obstacles anyway.

If it was 1 pt or 0 pt card that gave you the evade action i would like it better, its not. Nothing like using up your ept to find yourself just out of range one of any asteroids.

If it's obstacle couldn't you equip a ship with tactical jammer and fly in formation. There might be combo that could work with Biggs with ept astromech the new ept, integrated astromech, and a Uwing with tactical jammer.

No. Tactical Jammer doesn't cause a ship to becom an obstacle, it causes it to be treated like one in certain specific situations, and 'when a friendly ship takes an action' is not one of them.

What a weird way to make people play Seismic Torpedo.

Sadly it probably doesn't make people want to play Rigged Chute - but you can potentially make a stupidly tanky Nym, for instance.

Albeit, not tanky to TLTs and bombs, and those are the only things that really matter at the moment.

:(

It just made me want to play Rigged Chute.... now I have to buy a daggum shadow caster.

Upon Further reflection: Three omega specialists with FCS, one with Swarm Leader, and two with this new upgrade will probably not shake the foundations of the meta, but will give me a tie/SF list that I like. 10-16* points will left over to upgrade the leader to a real ace.

* It probably will not be zero points but....

Theoretically, A TIE/x7 could stack up to three evade tokens.

And still not have any offensive mods.

Woo?

I didn't say anything about offense

I know.

And yes, it could stack 3 evades.

And it would still not be terribly tanky, because you need focus/evade to make green dice good, and it would still not be terribly punchy, because it would have no offensive mods and no Juke.

So... you COULD, sure. But why WOULD you?

Brief tangent: Will this action function like a target lock, in that you get to check range before getting evades, or will it be a judgment call where you could waste your action?

EPT slot is the single most important slot in the entire game,

Not disagreeing, but System Upgrades are increasingly the money makers for the ships they’re on.

This ability makes me wonder if we have our “stolen from Ep V” asteroids, but this time it’s Kylo in a silencer hunting our heroes instead of ISDs.

Autocorrect had Kylo as Kyki

Precedent suggests it will give you back your action if it fails, but only FFG know for sure, and they probably won't tell use for 6 months after release, based on this year :(

Is there a precedent for others? Like Squad Leader? What happens if there are no friendlies in range 1-2 for that EPT?

Edit: Seems as though all Action: EPT allow you to choose another action if that one fails (PtL, Expert Handling)

Even that EPT couldn't make Seismic Torpedoes popular...
