My searches keep coming up with home brew fixes. The FAQ I saw didn’t seem to have an errata changing the card. What am I missing?
What’s the official FFG Vader fix?

A skirmish upgrade card coming in the Hear of the Empire box, available next week.
Our FAQ will continue to a nice concise pamphlet and not a small novel like it's X-Wing cousin.

Official Vader, Han Solo and Chewbacca fix:

I'm eager to see how the named characters behave with these Skirmish upgrades, but I'm wondering, is there any concensus in the community on how to use Chewbacca's Skirmish upgrade card in a campaign? (Seeing as it has a skirmish-only feature that can't be replicated in campaign).
Unfortunately, there is no "official fix" for campaign play. Some people house rule that you can use the skirmish attachments in campaign play but Chewbacca's fix involves his command card which would require more finagling to work into a campaign. If you search these forums there is some discussion on how people are including these skirmish attachments in their campaigns. I am hoping this is officially addressed at some point to help make some of the core heroes and villains competitive with the more recently released ones. I prefer to avoid house rules when possible.
If you're going to use them in campaign, it should only be when players are actually paying threat to deploy them. Don't use them if you are getting the character for free as part of the mission rules.

There is no such thing as 'Skirmish Upgrade' in campaign play. The campaign fix for older Mercenary and Imperial uniques is the villain class deck in Jabba's Realm. The campaign fix for older Rebel uniques... well, there is none, because the mechanic of taking a threat hit in order to bring an ally is broken in the first place and there's no easy way to fix that, other than re-writing that part of the rules.

I think he's asking about adapting them for campaign. If you want to play IGGY 2.0, Rogue Han, or Hater Vader in campaign there's nothing stopping you mechanic-wise. All the abilities translate 1 to 1. Newbacca on the other hand relates to a command card.
I suppose the simplest thing would be "once per mission, when an ally is defeated you may perform an attack."

I can only take credit for Hater Vader
.
I think we need something better than "Rogue Han" though... maybe Smug Solo?
