Yes, I still need to do both of those things. For me, though, all the expansion links are on the main page. But maybe I can add that as a tab. I'll look into it soon.
Runewars Wiki
Oh I didn't realize it was on main screen, my bad.
Did you find it, then? I just assumed you weren't seeing it because of some technical issue.

I did, nope I wasn't seeing it because of a stupidity issue.
Hi all, I guess it's time for me to actually create an account here and address all of the concerns that some people might have with the wiki.
To start off, the reasons why I decided to revamp the whole site:
- Finally a 'fresh, new' IP in FFG miniatures line that's not Star Wars - The game may be new, but it has a really good mechanics and it deserves a good wiki
- Carbon copy of existing wikis - To stand out from the rest, it should at least look apart from other 3 Star Wars games' wikis
- Messy & long-winded - I wanted the look and feel of the wiki to be user-friendly, where you can find anything within a few clicks
- Outdated format - The one common factor all leading fandom wikis have, is that they fully utilise the functions the system has to offer, be it slides or tabs
Keep in mind that the only experience I had prior was copy+pasting info and images back in X-Wing wiki. So obviously if I wanted the wiki to look like how I had envisioned, I have to actually grind it out and put in the hours to make it happen, and not wait around expecting someone else to do it. It took alot of time surveying other sites and learning how people code and make things appear like it's supposed to, all through trial and error. It is indeed a monumental task since I had to do everything myself which is why I am happy to see now @Budgernaut carrying on the work and also forgetting the new contributors adding value to the wiki while I was not around.
Now on to the issues:
- Hard to navigate around the site - I have specifically designed where all content can be easily accessed from the main page, without having to scroll through walls of text or jumping through endless hoops of links. Unless your browser have loading issues, everything is literally right there within a few clicks. There's also a search bar at the top if you want to find something specific.
- Card/dial tabs - I can understand it may cause some loading issues, but I updated the units page to the current format as it is much easier to upload, maintain high-res images and compile them together without having to spend extra time splitting up the images and managing even more items, while keeping the page neater. Currently it works flawlessly on mobile with the dial image appearing right under the unit cards. If anyone thinks he has a better solution and is able to actually code it out to look decent, then by all means be my guest. The site always need more skilled countributors.
- Mobile home page looks horrible - This I totally agree, it looks messy as I have not come around designing the mobile home page as it wasn't my main focus. Perhaps someone else should step in and do what's necessary to make it work.
- Figures tab - Well I know probably most players don't care about it but to me it should have a place in the site as it is a database after all. Anyone who wants to see how the figures are conceptualised and painted offically should have the right to do so. The link doesn't take up additional space and does not bother anyone who doesn't want to see it. Period.
- Adding expansions to top navigation - It is a welcome idea and it shouldn't be seen as redundancy as it provide an alternative option to users by providing quick access to specific content right from the start. It does benefit greatly in mobile as the navigation options can be accessed easily through the "hamburger" button.
Also for the record since it's not obvious, the wiki is the only place to have all Daqan & Waiqar upgrades currently released to have the unspoiled/hidden cards in near/high-res quality similar to official FFG images. You're welcome.
Looks like terrain, objectives, and deployment have fallen a bit behind... the terrain from the Latari core doesn't have pages/images, and the terrain/objective/deployment from Maegan's box aren't mentioned at all on the wiki, as best I can tell. Any Latari players out there who can help update this?
I'll be getting the Latari Elves Army Expansion with my pre-ordered Uthuk Y'llan Army Expansion and will be able to add those terrain and such, but I will need help getting images for Maegan's terrain/objective/deployment cards since she's not on my purchasing list.
Alright guys, I just started a Talk page on the main page regarding the mobile site. Frankly, the Runewars wiki is unusable on a mobile device. I watched some help videos on the Fandom website, and learned that it's actually pretty easy to make a good-looking desktop page that falls completely flat when viewed on a mobile device. As beautiful as our wiki is, I think it's time to make whatever changes necessary so that Android and iOS users can browse these pages on their phones.
There is a catch: only the admin can edit the Main Page to make it compatible with mobile devices. I have no idea who the admin is, and I thought I'd post here on the off chance that this person checks the forums more often than the wiki.
I'm fairly confident that we can keep a lot of our formatting similar on desktop, but there are a couple of hoops we're going to have to jump through to make it mobile-friendly, and I think it will be worth it. With the holidays coming up, maybe a few of us will have some extra time to get this process kicked off, and maybe even finished.
Just made an account myself and plan to help in anyway I can.
@Parakitor The lead admin is yours truly! (How did you not know that? I must have dropped the ball in not telling you.) Let's Google chat some time and we can work on it together. (I believe Willange and TitanTyrant are also admins, but haven't seen them active in a while, unless they are making changes without logging in.)

No you're right, I haven't been active. Everyone posts the new stuff way before I have time to and the new formatting is way better than anything I can really do. That's why I gave you all the access stuff so I wouldn't have to worry about it
The image for Cacophony Reaver is now on the wiki, for those needing it for digital adaptations and list-building programs.
EDIT: And if you are working on one of those projects and have an image of Latari Champion, we could really use it on the wiki.

Can we not use the one from the article?

Hmm. I must have missed that one.
EDIT: I posted form my phone which doesn't allow me to see images from FFG's website for some reason. I assumed you had posted a picture of the card called "Latari Champion." It's not the image of the champion figure that we need, it's a scan of the card called "Latari Champion."
Edited by BudgernautThis card is in fact called "Firstblade of Lord Aenoth" :). I will try to upload it as soon as I get back from holidays, which should be in 2 weeks or so.

Oh, you're right. Now I'm confused at why there is a page called "Latari Champion." I guess Zetan's linked picture does belong there?
Actually, Firstblade of Lord Aenoth is already on the wiki, but we are still missing card images for Blackthorn Assassin, Dreamweaver Sorceress, and Herald of the Twisting Gale from the Latari Elves Infantry Command Unit Upgrade Expansion.

You're on a 2 week vacation?
Since I haven’t seen much of it...
Thanks for all your work. The busy, lazy, technically-challenged among us appreciate your time and efforts.

Will upload those as soon as I get the chance!

Yes, I will be taking an additional week to complete my trip to Europe and will miss the first week of school, but oh well
