Corran and a dead horse???

By drail14me, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Had to ask this one more time cause it just feels like cheating......

Corran Horn uses Advanced Sensors to Focus, Pushes The Limit to Evade, gets a stress, executes a Green maneuver, clears the stress and gets a shield back with R2D2.

Done correctly?

I don't see anything wrong here. It's just like using BB-8 and PTL. You just get a bonus in the form of a shield.

yep

Thanks guys. Just felt too good to be true. My opponent's haven't been happy.

Competitively... Coran is not as easy to fly as he used to be because of power creep. Lots of dice on Coran in the same turn can kill him fast. So using him requires much more patience.

Search for video of Nathan flying him.

I bought Xwing in summer of 2014 and let my core set just sit there on a shelf. That fall I decided to accumulate a few expansions and find a FLGS to meet other players. So I really started playing after wave 5 release and flew a lot of Coran + Dash.

The list I loved the most at the time that did be well was:
Coran w/ Markmanship, R2-D2, FCS, Experimental Interface (47)
Dash w/ Outrider, HLC, PTL, and Nien Nunb (52)

It was deadly if Coran got range 1 out of arc of an opponent. I still love both ships and pilots but they take some strategy in today's meta to fly well.
