What's in it for You?

By Force Majeure, in X-Wing

I started cause of Star Wars, but what's in it for me is list building. Trying to create an efficient killing machine to beat the meta and the new hotness. Its all about list building and what combos work now to counter the meta. I probably build one or two lists a day. I even build lists in my dreams sometimes.

Other than that, it gives me a reason to go out on Wednesdays since there is nothing on TV, no sports, etc.

This is me every week:

The social aspect and challenge of getting to meet a bunch of fellow Star Wars / wargame fans and play a tabletop wargame and BS about Star Wars stuff. I don't have a lot of time anymore to be reliable for a tabletop RPG game anymore, but the pickup and play nature of swinging by my FLGS allows me to get some gaming in.

I like the thinking game, the war setting, and the Star Wars setting. I like the customizability and the mind-to-mind competition. I like that it's cheap and the models look good without repainting.

Because the Ghost, that is all. I'm a sucker for Clone Wars and the Rebels show and that's what got me to finally try out X-Wing. I stay for the fun and challenge of flying my favourite ship despite what's good and not, and branching way out past just Biggs.

Also my wife enjoys flying circles around me as Imperial Aces and if I can get my wife to play board games with me then hey awesome!
