Hi,

As a SW: Armada newbie and non native speaker, I have a problem to figure out, what is "Your attacks cannot be obstructed" on Jaina's Light (CR90 title) supposed to mean.

Does it mean:

"If your attack is obstructed (i.e. through obstacle, ship etc.) than treat it as not obstructed, i.e. don't deduct dice."

OR

"If your attack is obstructed (i.e. through obstacle, ship etc.), than you cannot make this attack - because it is obstructed".

I can see a reason for both interpetations. Which one is correct though?

The First.

The entire rules section on "Obstruction" does not apply.

So you do not delete dice. You pretend the obstruction is not there.

This also applies to Upgrades that provide obstruction, such as Admiral Montferrat. Although he provides Obstruction to a Ship under certain conditions, Jaina's Light ignores it and proceeds to attack as if there was no obstruction rule.

It will also allow unobstructed attacks on Ciena Ree

Man, if we ever get a Turbolaser Upgrade that adds to Anti-Squadron... a 2-3 Dice throwing Jaina's Light is going to bust a lot of TIEs, no matter where they try to hide.

So now I not only know how this card works but also got some inspiration for efficient use.

The 'your' in the card text always refer to the ship the upgrade is equipped to.

Non natives' grammar is often better because they learn the rules properly.

You also already have Toryn F***s You!

And who knows how Intensify [Forward] Firepower will work? Would not be thematic to "work" against squadrons?

Thematic? Well it is thematic to " try" to use it against squads.

And it worked. I guess....the A-Wing did get shot before dying....
