But you still get to retroactively pick what family of what clan you were born into.

Is it a big deal? Not really. It'd be fine with a random table for all character creation clan/family/school choices for someone wanting to truly randomise their character instead of picking. But I'd rather have both choices available rather than be seemingly mandated to roll.

Then to me that's more an issue of the matching negative (or positive) not being substantial enough.

Also, if you don't have a d10, just Google "rng" (without the quotes), and it will pull up a rng that defaults to a 1-10 set.
