Mutant Soundmixer is a useful free software that have been made for the swedish RPG Mutant U:A.

It have been translated to english and have a lot of sounds that you can loop for creating atmosphere in your adventures.

I haven't started with Rogue Trader yet so I haven't tested it for my RG-campaign but it have worked for all other RPG's I play (from wiking fantasy to horror in 2008 New York-setting).

With the possibility to use your own sounds and music (recorded or downloaded from internet) with the program this is really good to create mood.

I just started using this. The industrial sounds rock.

Note to self: the dripping water sounds do not go well with PCs and large quantities of soda & beer.

Don't forget that you can download your own waw or mp3-files and use them with the Soundmixer. A usually use www.freesound.org/forum/index.php to search for specific sounds that I can't find in the program.

I think that the different Sewer-sounds can be looped in the background when the characters are on starships and other places in the void.
