I noticed the latest printing of the Original Core set is shipping now. Has the Original Core set ever been reprinted before? If you find one on a shelf today, would it be a first printing?
The ORIGINAL core set?
It's been reprinted several times. It just never really suffered much of a stock shortage until recently, partly due to a bigger uptake on the TFA core meaning they could push back a reprint.

Thanks. I'd love to have a first printing un-opened.
There are two original box sets at a shop near me. I've been debating on whether or not I should get it. I have the TFA set. The original core has like 2 cards that I might need.
Good god, I NEED that OT Core Set. I need more TIE Fighters and less copies of Howlrunner!
I have, I think 12 TIE Fighters. The very last thing in the world I need is another core.
Oh the halcyon days where you could buy two cores and an X-wing, and immediately run Superfriends into the top brackets of your local tournaments.

Got a Gozanti yet? If so, got a second?

And I've spent way too much money on a game I win far too infrequently.
Same
Edited by Celestial LizardsI plan to pick one up.

Same here. Local store has a few on the shelf. If I knew they were original prints and not reprints, I'd buy. Don't know how to tell if they are first run though.
For people who missed R2-D2 and Biggs, no more no less

A friend of mine who decided to go "Scum and Villainy" gave me and a friend of mine his original core set. I took all the Rebel stuff and he took all the Imperial stuff. But I might pick up the original just so I can have everything.
I am waiting for the CR90 to be reprinted, then my collection is nearly complete.

Yea, but probably only because no one owned seven TIE Fighters yet... There was nothing Rebels could do in Wave 1 to beat 7-8 TIE Swarms (e.g see all tournaments from that period, including the most anti-climatic Gencon finale ever where a TIE Swarm squashed Super Friends in like three rounds).
Oh I saw plenty of 7-8 TIE Swarms. Usually the 7 TIE variant with Howlie. The thing was that as good as it was, back in the early days of it, so very few people knew how to fly that effectively without eventually just jamming up an entire section of the board and getting no actions for themselves (hence the Howlrunner reliance). TIEs with no mods and Wedge on your side are super squishy... Also, back then people didn't know how to deal with Biggs effectively either.
Of course, then came the pancakes and all was lost.
