I bought one each of the original starter decks, and two booster packs from each of the three sets. I have decided that I want to make a blue villain deck as my main deck, and a couple decks to teach or play with others. is it worth it for me to buy the new two player starter set? Or should I just buy 10 boosters? If so, which ones should I get?
just started playing, Where do I go next?
Another 2 player is best moneywise. You know exactly what you will get, and card are very strong and can easily be traded if tou need to. For blue villain, you can build a above average deck by buying cheap rares, for Canada, plz see 401games most of SoR expansion card are ridiculously low priced!

For clarification, I do not own the 2 player starter set, but purchased the original 2 starter decks. (so I still will not have an 'elite character with this)
You likely won't be able to meet your goals buying 10 boosters. If there's a deck you know you want, your best road to that deck is to buy the cards you want as singles.
The new 2P starter is a great set. You'll get elite NewKylo, who you unfortunately cannot pair with is Kylo starter version, so you'll need to chase down a second blue villain.
I actually opened a Grand Inquisitor from a pack. I did not realize the set came with an elite Kylo. I'll probably pick it up tonight!
The two player starter set does not come with an elite Kylo. It only comes with one of his dice. A lot of people on this forum get confused between the older $15 starters and the new $30 starter.
I would not recommend it since you already have the old Kylo and two different versions of Kylo is not a legal combo. Maybe get it if you want crossguard saber, but otherwise I don’t think it’s a great deal for you.
The deck you’re looking for is eKylo/eVader(SoR). That Vader is a rare (not legendary), so he’s only about $5 per dice (you’ll need two) on Team Covenant. This deck should be easy enough to trade for, and I’ve won tournaments with a deck like this. It would probably at most cost you $20 to buy all the cards you don’t have from this second-hand:
Character: (30/30)
2x Kylo Ren (Awakenings)
2x Darth Vader (Spirit of Rebellion)
Battlefield:
1x Emperor’s Throne Room (Awakenings)
Event: (18)
2x Isolation (Awakenings)
2x Enrage (Awakenings)
2x Manipulate (Spirit of Rebellion)
2x Lightsaber Throw (Spirit of Rebellion)
2x Rejuvenate (Spirit of Rebellion)
2x Overconfidence (Spirit of Rebellion)
2x As You Command (Empire at War)
2x Intimidate (Awakenings)
2x Rise Again (Spirit of Rebellion)
Support: (2)
2x Command Shuttle (Spirit of Rebellion)
Upgrade: (10)
2x Lightsaber (Awakenings)
2x Makashi Training (Spirit of Rebellion)
1x Mind Probe (Awakenings)
1x Force Throw (Awakenings)
2x Immobilize (Awakenings)
2x Lightsaber Pike (Spirit of Rebellion)
You'd have to buy 2 of the 2 player starter.
But I still recommend it. Combining the 2, 2player starters makes 2 very good decks. And are fun to play. Blind buying boosters is a crap shoot
Yes.

Buying a 2 player set (or two) is the best bang for your buck in this game. You'll get plenty of powerful blue cards and will have what you need to build decks.
Two of the two player sets are worth it. Then a new Anakin Skywalker will be out soon and he will pair with Kylo perfectly.
2p set is a good deal towards the blue villain deck. New Kylo is very strong. You may get his second dice as a single (some guys bought it just for good side) or just buy second one and sell hero stuff to get a "refund".
Then you need to decive who to pair him with - new Anakin (from Rivals) is looking like his best friend when he hits.
