Let's say Biggs doesn't use it ability and you have a choice between shooting Biggs or Wedge. Who do you shoot?
If you shoot at Wedge but fail to kill him, next round Biggs can activate his ability and effectively force you to spread damage. If you shoot Biggs, then his ability is working for free.
Problem is most people were able to kill Biggs in 1 round of concentrated fire, if they don't use Biggs In theory killing wedge would be easier because Biggs used to be pumped up for defence wedge is not.

Yes. But prior to Biggs being everywhere and fair ship rebels.... a good player that played biggs made sure that the first combat phase where shooting occurred often did so at range three so that a ship other than biggs was targeted first. A good player avoids the concentrated alpha strike by correctly engagingly and setting things up in turn zero.
Basically Biggs have been given back to the players that have a strategy and can out think their opponents engagement. And Biggs has been taken away from the players looking for easy play.

I think they over did Biggs, but it does not break my heart(mad they changed something But i understand why).
Jumpmaster now seems to be a slightly cheaper falcon with 1 less crew. (1 jump master with k1 and expertise will still be reallygood, just no reason to ever see more then 1 on the table, unless casual game)
What makes me mad is once per game abilities tracking. I have seen lots of games we people try to use once per game abilities more then once and other times were an opponent tries to claim you used it already in an attempt to not let you use it. Judges nightmare who do you believe?(yes it happened a lot in magic and l5r and old star wars ccg).
Edited by dojiI was gonna buy another JM5K on Friday. Not now.

How to track them... tokens.
Biggs could have a token placed ON HIS SHIP (like a number counter) at the time of deployment. When a player controlling that ship decides to activate the token, it is taken off the ship and placed next to the ship base (like a focus or evade token). At the end phase it is picked up and removed from play.
This tracks all three phases of Biggs:
(1) Not used yet, but available
(2) Activated and in use this turn
(3) Spent and no longer usable this match

@Sephlar That’s a great sensible idea. Unfortunately we can’t be having those kind of shenanigans and whatnots in x-wing miniatures. Please stop making sense. Thanks.
Guns for Hire just came out and no one is here. I think our X-wing group is dying.
No! I'm still here, I was just on vacation! Not gonna die, don't you die on me!
How did epic go.
Fuzzy was and still is ill. Sorry
@Wedge1126 at least your still store champion for another week.

Actually, no one was there. Even a lot of the Warmachine guys were missing. I had my choice of parking spot directly in front of the store.

Wow
I will be there this Friday, 11/3. Maybe try and play with some fun squad or two.
Haven’t made up my mind if I want to go yet.
