Amazon

By Undeadguy, in Star Wars: Armada

I just looked at the picture for the 3rd time and still found new ways they ****** it up. This is an amazing photo, it seems like it would have been more effort to put it together in such a mixed up manner than taking a moment to figure it out. I mean, there is even a base peg that is twisted sideways relative to its proper position - you would need to force it with some difficulty to make it fit like that. Frankly I'm amazed.

I count no fewer than 8 unique errors, if I counted repeated errors the number goes up exponentially.

If one of the cards there was from an Imperial expansion, and it had an incorrect defense token, the picture would be perfection.

I suppose the Z-95's would always get swarm rerolls since they'd always be within distance one of the E-Wing

8?!

  1. Wrong Cardboard (appears thrice)
  2. Missing the second portion of the stand (appears thrice)
  3. Missing the first portion of the stand (appears once)
  4. Multiple squad types on one stand (appears twice)
  5. Weirdly misshapen models (appears twice)
  6. Pointer pointed the wrong way (appears once)
  7. Only 5 cards (stretching it a bit, no?)
  8. Cardboard with no plastic (appears once) (stretching it a bit, no?)
  9. Not enough tokens (stretching it a bit, no?)
  10. Ship orientation relevant to pointer is off (stretching it a bit, no?)
  11. Sliders have been set in both directions (stretching it a bit, no?)

That's 11, and 5 of them barely count. . . so 5 count as unique, and #5 may be a trick of the photo (for 5 sure unique mistakes). . . which ones did you see?

Here is what I got, many match yours.

  1. Wrong models on wrong cardboard.
  2. No extension post on single models.
  3. Mix of E-Wings and Z95s on same post.
  4. No base peg with pointer on one model.
  5. Pointer not pointing in proper direction in relation to the slider (somewhat minor but still an indication of sloppyness).
  6. Not all contents of the package displayed (This is generally a major issue in retail, either show the package or if you show the contents show everything. At least they didn't show something not in the package).
  7. Noticably damaged part (note the picture below from the same Amazon listing if it wasn't clear enough in the main image).
  8. I may have counted Cardboard twice because 3.33 out of 5 of the tokens are wrong... So you got me, only 7.

Not one of the 5 squads displayed is assembled correctly every single one of them is wrong. I am willing to give Amazon a break on this from this standpoint, this may have been a 3rd party image. Amazon has tons of 3rd party sellers. I have also seen the same image used on E-Bay. Almost all of the other Armada products shown on Amazon show the packaging, it is odd this one does not which is why I think there is a chance this is a 3rd party image.

That's what my z95s look like straight out of the box.

Looks like an FFG picture from the articles I have seen in the past

Is anyone gonna mention to the lonely VCX cardboard by itself?

At least they got one VCX right....

Chaos Theory does predict the occurrence of order organization in completely random systems.

Wow, that is just an armada hot mess. I cringe every time i look at the pic.

How many free kits do you think you could get if you kept buying and complaining that the kit didn't come with a bent Lazer as displayed in the picture?

None.

You get Individual Z95s

Sent in a box big enough to accommodate a whole kit.

And yes. I speak from Experience.

Amazon is under no compunction to do anything.

because that responsibility lies with FFG, as part of FFG's policy. Amazon just points you to that.

Same as what a store would do.

Not sure how a draft that i thought i changed got here

I know. But out of the sake for good relationship with customers most big stores (Amazon included) will take an exchange no questions asked for defective merch. They eat it to keep you happy and spending money with them. It's the long con lose 20 now keep you spending hundreds or thousands over the coming years.

The fools! I was going to spend that much either way. More if I can have my ISDs delivered by a drone that plays the Imperial march as it makes the delivery!
