The next big thing?

Could this be the next big thing once Guns for hire hits the shelves?

With those Guidance Chips giving one crit on every missile the Harpooned condition could trigger twice a round. It should bring a solid damage output from missiles, but will it work once the missiles are gone?

I mean, there won't be much when the missiles are gone.

My bigger concern is, how good are you at range control? Because if you can't keep your enemies at range 2-3 for two turns, you're in for a hard time.

If you can't even do it in the initial engagement (and most good pilots can force range one on the first then of shooting) you're SOL.

Not doing much after alpha missiles. Your ps1 single arc ships, are ps1 single arc ships. Drop the EM for ABTs or something to help against aces ships that will barrel roll boost out of your arcs.

No.

I see that small ship has a smaler arc than say Jumpmasters and that arc-dodging could be a problem. But how many of those classical arc-dodging ships are still played in a bomb-meta? Furthermore, I do not see how range control would be much harder with this list than with a triple jumpmaster list? Is the Jumpmaster dial so much more flexible than the Scurrge dial?

If the missiles hits (and i see this is a big IF) the list hits quite hard. With the harpooned-condition and guarantied crits from Guidance Chips I guess expected damage from these three ships should be around 12 Health against 1 AG ships. After the missiles are gone, the opponents ships should be quite damaged, and he still has three 10 Health, 3 attack ships to take down.

There‘s a difference between: ‚could this be good?‘ and ‚is this the next big thing?‘

The answer to both is 'no', though.

Low PS alphastrikes could maybe work, but there are enough people experimenting around and it didn‘t so far.

There are some better results in the TC Open but the Khiraxz there has an additional point reduction, so 4-5 are possible.

In so so so many ways the Scurrg/Kihraxz is not a Deadeye Scout.
