Why is it so dry with no new articles from FFG? The last update we got was the Wave 13 expansion at the beginning of September. Just about a year the articles seemed to come every Monday on a fairly regular basis. Is it in anticipation for Episode VIII?

If they released the wave 12 and wave 13 articles now, way before their anticipated respective releases around May 2018 and August 2018, you'd have a very long drought after a few initial weeks of fleeting joy.

They're probably holding off until closer to the holiday shopping season. Also we got a rapid succession of big news, FFG needs to spend time promoting their other games, they aren't like GW where the whole company is basically carried by 40k.

Stuff won't release for a long time and FFG has like 30 new products that are releasing before then, its time to let those breathe.

Clearly the game is dead, there are no more ship ideas, Disney is stifling all things x-wing, etc, etc.

I do enjoy the tactics articles posted as well ... It does not need to be about the waves ...

Dang, had it been a month already? It still feels like we just got told about wave 13. I can understand not releasing preview articles yet, or announcing what the missing SKU is, but the lack of ancillary articles is puzzling. Though, @Princezilla does make a good point about FFG needing to also market their other products.

heh, we might think this is bad, but the poor Armada guys get stuff way less frequently than we do.

FFG's definition of Q4 and Q1 are rough

Let's see if Q3 for guns for hire at least means "Somewhere in Q4" this time around

Next article will probably be Guns For Hire available now, and as it's still listed as "On The Boat" we can probably expect it being a couple of weeks away at least.

I'm honestly actually rather optimistic that waves 12 and 13 will actually show up (mostly) on time. I can't image they want to let the excitement of TLJ to die out before getting their tie in ships out, so it makes sense to push out wave 13 on time. That hopefully means they'll push out wave 12 too so as not to get waves out of order.

That all said, I also have a sneaking suspicion that wave 12 and 13 will end up reaching stores on the same day.

Not directly X-Wing per se, but isn't the rumour to make sure you have decent bandwidth and a large screen available Oct 9th?

I would be happy if they updated the Guns for Hire release date, released a new FAQ or released a schedule for Regional season.

I can't imagine FFG would show us wave 13 only to realease nearly a year later in August of 2018. That's just bad marketing. The hype for those ships would die out 6 months in (or sooner). I think we're gonna get spoiled with waves 12 & 13 in the holiday season.

Clearly, Disney is cancelling the license and they have no further info to publish, everyone start posting "X-Wing is Dead" threads!

After stopping and thinking about why the gap now (after I made the thread), I realized that used to FFG publicly announced one ship at a time instead of the whole wave. It usually had 2 articles per ship, the initial announcement, then the details. This stretched the dead space out longer. I wonder if this is due to FFG tackling more games at once?

Quite frankly I'm glad - the release schedule has already been ratcheted up far too much and it has become painfully clear that more time needs to be spent testing and balancing things instead of churning them out at light speed. I mean for goodness sake, we've only had Wave 11 for five minutes and already the next two after it have been identified - and yet the X-Wing remains rubbish and Nym is still ridiculous.

The hype train has to slow down sometimes. How else would we replenish our stock of pitch forks?

The boat is in Minnesota. By boat, I mean a shipping container. They just need help unloading and pulling orders.

I would expect Guns For Hire to get the Now Shipping tag any second. I recently cashed in my pre-order money at my FLGS and bought other stuff until it comes out.

At least give us some info with the Q4 kits...
