Some ships have negatives while others have positives. TIE Fighters, for instance, might have some moves turn red and role one less green dice. TIE Strikers might get more green moves or gain a green die or increase in agility. GUNBOAT and mamma Lambda would enjoy increased manueverabilty as well. Many Scum and Reb starfighters will not change or might function slightly better, but most large bases will probably suffer.
all these changes may be covered in a rules card or condition applied to all ships, or just be based on a campaign rule book. It would also open the design space for Cloud Cars, T-16 and T-47, and yes the old V-wing speeder.
Who knows, Atmosphere rules as well as shuttle escort missions might be incorporated into official tourneys some day, with matches randomly determined between three possible sceneries (death match, escort and Atmosphere/Air). Players will be forced to design balanced lists that can take on all three types of matches. X-wing could be reborn! Down with the Meta! GUNBOAT IS SUPREME!
