Are there colorless hits?

By Jobu, in Star Wars: Rebellion

Some of the advanced tactics cards deal black hits, some deal red and some deal "hits".

I assume you can assign "hits" to any color hit points.

The big question I have is when you do this does it assume the color of what its hitting or does it remain colorless? This is important because some of the other cards have lines like, block 2 black hits or 1 red hit.

They specifically prevent (not "block") dice results, before the damage from dice is assigned - you'll note that each such card shows what dice result it removes.

So are you saying that the use of generic term "hits" means it can't be prevented by the tactics cards that say prevent x black hits (symbol)?

Yes, although strictly speaking, cards deal "damage", not "hits".

Cards say "deal ... damage " or "prevent ... hits ". I think this difference in wording is an easy way to understand and remember how it works.

You are right and thanks.
