L5R is super cool you guys.

Now that you guys are Steel Command, how many times am I allowed to reference Peter MacNicol in Ghostbusters 2 yelling "Command me, Lord Vigo?"

No, YOU have an unhealthy obsession with that movie.

“Slime Him.”

I'm interested in this new L5R game, I haven't played since my Army days with the old CCG.

i completely feel you about the job killing writing time. All you can really do is write when you want and just enjoy it. Looking forward to the gaming articles!

Seconded. I may or may not mine these articles for board games for my SO in the near future.

Have you tried One Deck Dungeon yet? My wife and I have been enjoying that from time to time and it's a breeze to set up and tear down, has a campaign mode, and usually takes just about 30 minutes or so. Plus there's lots of dice rolling!

If you want something both depressing and really tough, I've enjoyed This War of Mine, but you're not going to come away from it with good feelings even though it leaves a strong impression and has thematic narrative elements. Sort of like one of Telltale's Walking Dead games.

I picked it up as the first game in my personal collection going forward.

Was a big fan of the computer game.

This one was an @shmitty article, just FYI.

And yeah, as a computer game This War of Mine was a powerful story presented in an engaging way.

I... couldn't make it through the winter.

I didn't know there was a board game. For a similar feel though, I'd recommend The Grizzled - up to 6 player cooperative "survive WWI as a French Soldier" game.

But this isn't armada related at all, no?
