"Yes Master," Anler replies to Master Kenobi, before cutting the connection. He immediately contacts Major Zombie, relaying to him what Kenobi said. "Major, you have the discretion to deploy the troops to evacuate the civilians and advance through the area and to the location indicated by the General," he says.

He is glad that the child's mother has managed to find little girl. "You don't need to thank me," he says, "But you need to clear the area, this place isn't safe. Please, return to your home with your little girl," he says. The child pushes her doll into Anler's hands, but he quickly returns it to her mother. "She will need this more than me," he says with a smile.

Anler then looks at the Cyclones. "You heard Master Kenobi," he begins before Gunslinger urges him to chuck the toy. "Calm yourself. I could sense no malice in the woman or her child. And besides, I did return the toy to the mother," he says. "I just did it discretely to hide my actions from the little girl. And my crack soldiers, it would seem," he says with a grin.

"Let's move out, we clear this area and make our way to these coordinates," he says, showing the others the location indicated by Kenobi. He then leads the way looking for more droids and waiting for Zombie to get back to him with news of the deployment of the rest of the battalion.

Waaaaah! You guys are really good shots!

Akua beamed as she watched the clones take down all the droids. She had been helping some people walk to safe positions and missed the firefight.

Mynock obeys Anler's orders by following Gunslinger and the Coruscant Guard to the directed coordinates. Moving through the urban cityscape, he thinks " Who is directing or coordinating these new droids? And from where? This seems just a little too strategic for those bolt heads to scheme up on our capital ".

I got a quick way to those coordinates!

Akua then proudly declared.

Come on, I'll show you! There's a lift, we can get everyone up safely too, as we can stay together!

She beamed childishly.

"Right, that sound like a plan," Anler says distractedly as he waits for Major Zombie to reply. "Lead the way, " he continues, motioning for the clones to follow.

As the unit run through the market sector they would be plunged into the eery quiet that they had experienced earlier. The fights had caused most people to flee or barricade themselves in their houses. Every so often they would see someone running in the opposite direction, but they weren't stopping to talk. As they ran they could clearly see the huge towers rise up on either side of them, up into the atmosphere. Traffic swarmed overhead and there was the regular buzz of troop transports overhead. They were likely to be a part of the evacuation effort. Some of them may even belong to Anler's company.

Spanner perks up, along with several of the other members of the squad, hearing the telltale sounds of another droid squad incoming. He glances around, taking in the local environment, and the direction the droids are likely to approach from. Spotting a nearby series of power junctions and relay panels, he says into his helmet mic. "Look lively brothers, going to prep a surprise for our friends, and by surprise, I mean massive amounts of live current arcing through them, so watch your step." He gestures to the area he's going to mess with, and proceeds to start popping panels and fiddling with wires.

"Roger that, Spanner," Doc says as he finds a compactor that is covered with shadow. "Might as well find some spots for an ambush, then."

Doc gets into position, making sure he has sight on where the droids are possibly coming. "I have eyes on. Any clankers come, they won't see it coming."

" Let's get this show on the road." Slugger would announce to the squad as he spun up and readied Martha. The spinning of a Rotary cannon could be heard for a good distance so the droids probably knew where he was, but he was drawing their attention away from his brothers so they could all take them out before they could focus too much fire on him, well hopefully thats what happens. If not this fight will get hairy fast.

Akua crouched down, hiding beside some of the clones.

Time to watch mama show her skills!

She joked.

Mynock decides to flip over an abandon repulsor cart in the market with its coil outbursts facing towards the lift. Afterwards, the clone immediately couches down behind it for cover and prepares for the ambush. Mynock couldn’t wait to see what Spanner had cooked up.

Gunslinger covers Spanner while he's fiddling with the wiring, taking cover close to where the trap is being laid. Not too close..?

Pistols drawn, the sergeant awaits the rapidly approaching clankers.

As the jedi and clone rush for cover a large detachment of droids comes marching around the corner. They stomp forwards in a set of four squads, two in front and two at the back. The ones leading the way are the ever recognisable B1 battle droids of the separatist army, the droids at the rear of the formation are the new unfamiliar combatants the squad faced in the square. This number of droids outside of the simulators must look a little daunting, even after their recent victory.

As the droids arrive on the scene one of the B1's points and shouts at Slugger. 'Clone! He must be why the scouts aren't responding! Blast hi-aaaaagh!' As the droid steps forward the terminal that had been rigged by Spanner finally erupts. A brilliant shock of electricity surges forward, arcing from one droid to another. The first squad of droids crumples to the floor as blue electricity flickers across the metal torsos. One of the droids just about manages to stagger to it's feet though, not completely destroyed by the trap.

As the ambush is triggered, Gunslinger sweeps into action, firing into the chaos of shocked battle droids. His fire isn't getting past the first squad of doomed clankers, though, and the others continue to press forward unimpeded..

And unimpressed.. Frak!

Taking cover, he takes a deep breath. Enough with the fancy pistol work, there, slick!

Leaning out, he provides erratic bursts of covering fire, hoping his squad mates can take advantage of their superior firing arcs.

Noticing Gunslinger initiate the ambush, Mynock peeks over the repulsor cart by aligning his DC-15 onto the B1 Droids. Immediately firing with purpose, the clone attempts to take down the closest clankers to the squad. " You dip-circuits won't be responding soon either! " he shouts, taunting their processors. The site of so many droids was activating all the sim training exercises Mynock use to enjoy on Kamino.

As Akua sprints forwards and strikes at the silvery looking battle droids with her lightsaber, something very odd happens. Instead of sinking into the metal like butter, the green blade is reflected. This had never happened before to her during combat, in fact no one present had seen this occur. Just what were these droids made of?

Slugger looks at the brand new squad of Clankers and points Martha at them, these Droids didn't look standard and the other Commander Akua didnt do much damage with her lightsaber. " Alright Clankers EAT LASER!" Slugger screamed at the top of his lungs nearly deafening his comrades over the comms, a rain of laser hellfire downs 4 of these heavily armored droids. It seemed heavy weapons fire was the way to deal with these new droids.

As the droids come under attack from the ambush, the B1's that had survived the deadly trap set by Spanner begin to return fire. 'Blast them!' The easily recognisable sound of separatist gunfire fills the air as they try to kill the clones attacking them. Perhaps unsurprisingly, they target the heavy gunner of the clone squad, landing a few light shots against Sluggers armour as they try to cut him down where he stands.

Doc fired at the new droids, but couldn't seem to land a hit in. However, he noticed that their armor seemed to heavily protect from one lane of fire only as there were gaps on their sides.

"Get multiple angles on those new droids! We can hit them harder that way!" Doc switched to providing suppressing fire on the new droids, hoping give someone else a chance to get a shot off.

Whoa!

Akua yelped as her lightsaber was reflected and she stumbled away back to safety.

What are those things made of!?

She yelled.

As Akua's attack is thrown back by the metallic plating of the battle droids, one of them swivels around to look down on the young girl. She feels the red glare of its single eye where the B2's face plate usually sat focus on her forehead, and heard the deep robotic voice. 'Eliminate target. With that the repeating blasters that replace its hands are raised and the droid fires on the padawan with the rest of its squad. Although she may have been surprised by the ineffective attack, Akua has enough about her to be able to raise her lightsaber to parry away to deadly bolts of plasma. As she is distracted with her defence, it gives the B1 droids accompanying this new foe to take aim at the clones. No one said that war was going to be easy, and this was the perfect example of that.

Akua sighed as she stared at the droid before her lightsaber flew up to deflect another shot.

Uh... maybe I could get some help here?

she exclaimed before yelping as she ducked another bolt.

Spanner tilts his helmeted head in surprise, at seeing a Jedi's lightsaber get deflected by armor. Everything he knew about their energy output suggested that was nearly impossible, at least not without directly engineering for that purpose. When Akua yells for help, he looks around, trying to find something to tip the scales a bit. Spotting what he was looking for, he begins to run across the combat zone, to a nearby speeder left behind by a fleeing civvie. He hops in and quickly brings it to life, the turbines humming with energy. "Help on the way! Clear a path!" He revs the engine again to punctuate his point, clearly preparing to head towards the attacking uber-droids.

Anler goes for the nearest target, a squad of B1 droids that are leveling their blasters at him as he charges in. He deflects a couple of shots before plowing into them, cutting down two and kicking a third, nearly causing it to fall on one of its allies.

As Anler and Akua slice through the droid units the new battle droids continue to advance on the clones, firing as they go. They seem to be unphased by the lightsaber wielders, perhaps thanks to their armour capabilities. They open fire with a flurry of red blaster fire, and Mynock suddenly finds chuncks of rock and plasteel exploding around his head. He is forced to throw himself to the ground to avoid being torn apart by the attack. This is going to be a difficult fight.

One of the B1 droids lets out a mournful wail as the lightsaber removes its head. 'Jedi? Kill the jedi!' One of the survivors would shout to its comrades, desperate to avoid the same fate as the previous units.

'I've never killed a jedi!' another would whine before it meets the same fate as those Anler had lunged at before. Those that were able to survive open fire on the jedi, but he is able to dodge and reflect their blaster fire. However the droids begin to circle him, learning that it is harder to defend against attacks from that many angles. He'll need to finish them off soon or risk injury.
