With all the red on the B-Wings dial I think Hera can be good.
But generally speaking you want to keep B-Wings as cheap as possible - a 40pt B-Wing dies just as quickly as a 22pt B-Wing!
Here are my suggestions for B-wing Aces:
Killer B's
•Ten Numb (36) - B-Wing
Veteran Instincts (1), "Mangler" Cannon (4)
•Keyan Farlander (32) - B-Wing
Rage (1), B-Wing/E2 (1), Inspiring Recruit (1)
•Keyan Farlander (33) - B-Wing
Opportunist (4)
•Ibtisam (31) - B-Wing
Wired (1), B-Wing/E2 (1), Hera Syndulla (1)
•Nera Dantels (32) - B-Wing
Deadeye (1), Accuracy Corrector (3), Flechette Torpedoes (2)
DO NOT succumb to the temptation to fill all those upgrade slots. It's a waste of points on a ship that folds like an honest poker player. All of the builds above play to the pilots' card abilities, spending as few points on upgrades as possible.
I've long had a fascination with the thought of Ten Numb using crits to force Ion Cannon hit-effects. However, Marksmanship is terrible. It's far too many points for what it does. A Score to Settle might be a stronger option. Target Lock the pre-selected ship, and reroll anything which isn't a Focus or Crit. However, the trick doesn't seem as vital these days. When there were more high-agility ships which were getting stressed by Push the Limit, unpreventable Ion seemed so cool. Clipping a Soontir Fel with a VI/FCS/Ion Cannon/Mercenary Co-Pilot Ten Numb would be sweet, but these days Soontir is gone, Fenn Rau probably has Attanni mindlink and won't be stressed, a TIE defender can survive the follow-up range 1 shot, and Nym can simply be hit with a regular Ion Cannon shot without fancy tricks.
Meanwhile, B-Wings can die pretty fast, and so can Z-95s.

So it seems like you're into Poe Dameron? Cool. There are quite a few threads on here which highlight Poe builds, mostly PS9 Intensity Poe, with Title, Autothrusters, and some combination of R2-D2, BB-8, Comm Relay, or Primed Thrusters. These builds come in at 41-45 points. Poe can be a bear to bring down, compared to a B-Wing. It's far, far better to spend 45 points on Poe than 40 points on a B-Wing.
So perhaps let's explore the B-Wing theme and get a pair of cheaper B-Wings to support a heftier Poe build. Blue Squadron Pilots are fine. There are three solid sensors upgrades for them: Advanced Sensors (3 pts), Fire Control System (2 pts), and Collision Detector (0 pts). Take one of these. Then, perhaps consider one of the two control options (or both, if taking Collision Detector): Ion Cannon, or /E2 and Tactician. Either of these is 3 points. A build along these lines would range between 25 and 28 points per ship, or 50-56 for both of them (so room enough for Poe).
Here's a list along these lines:
* Poe (Black One, R2-D2, Comm Relay, Intensity, Autothrusters) (45)
* 2x Blue Squadron Pilot with Ion Cannon and FCS (27 each)
It will be pretty similar to the original list. You'll have a hefty regen ship in Poe, plus a pair of B-Wings which do mostly the same kinds of things Ten Numb does, but a lot cheaper. You won't have unpreventable Ion triggers, but you won't necessarily need them. Hit someone with an Ion cannon, and move both B-Wings into range 1 of the location their Ion will bring them, and unload with Focus/Target Lock shots. It's simpler on paper than on the table, since even an 8-HP ship can get burst down in a single round these days, but better that happens to a 27 point Blue, than a 40 point Ten Numb.
I've been flying Keyan Farlander w/ Hera and Determination, totaling 33 points. The whole dial is open, essentially. It's important to remember this build is for mid- to late-game use; you can't come out of the gate swinging with it, you'll just get burned down.
Nera Dantels, when equipped with Trick Shot, Collision Detector, Proton Torpedoes, and Guidance Chips makes a juicy first target, although expensive at 32 points. With some canny, patient flying (and a little luck) you can get the torps off and bodge your opponent's maneuvers with her for a couple turns, all while Keyan patiently reds into position from a flank or from behind.
These two ring in at 65 points. I've flown PS 8 Poe with them, equipped with Sensor Clusters and Autothrusters. I'm sure there are better builds for this Poe, but I've had fair results (3-0). I suppose you could put Adaptability on him... Poe and Keyan circle, swoop in, take swipes, then zip out and away to come around, preferably splitting opposing formations and their target priority.
Edit: Speaking of target priority, yours is extremely important. If you muck it up you'll struggle. Don't force the first engagement.
It's worked for me. YMMV.

If you want to stick with ten I would say drop marksmanship for literally anything else. Maybe expertise if you have the points. Marksmanship sadly doesn't justify its points cost regularly and without specifically building around it I feel you'll have a hard time using it. Also it eats up your action.
Nien helps the dial, it's just hera helps it allot better. alternatively you can add bistan to help change crits at range 1-2.
If you aren't picky about sticking with ten, try Keyan with Vi, e/2, and Kyle Katarn. Ps 9 and you can spend stress as focus on offense. When you do, Kyle will hand out focus for defense!

I liked that list so that ten could use an extra action from Airen to do marksmanship and he could target lock or barrel roll.

I keep forgetting cracken works on allies!
With that now in mind your list makes allot more sense. You've got cracken pulling stress and enabling marksmanship on ten.
So in that case Hera doesn't matter as much.
I flew this recently, and it worked quite nicely. The idea was to keep Ten as cheap as possible; the opportunistic tractor beam shot to deny an enemy shot or get it in range of the HLC is always nice
Maybe it could be tweaked a little, maybe getting rid of the ion canon, but I like the possibility of getting control via ion or tractor if needed.
TENACIOUS BS

Ten with Adaptability, FCS, E2/Bistan comes in at 36 points and gives you crits at R1-2 for a point cheaper than a Mangler would, loses R3, though.
Others have mentioned Keyan with Rage, E2/Inspiring Recruit, which is probably the best 32-point Keyan that points can get you. Very efficient.
