Twin Troopers: The Grand Inquisitor and Imperial Hunters

Great article!

I made a similar attempt (see below) to leverage the Hunter trait with Imperials in season 2 of the Reddit tournament just because I love the character and want to make him work. It was fun to play but ultimately didn't do very well. I think the composition of my list relied too much on a powerful central figure, and the GI just isn't quite hefty enough to be that guy. Also the Weequays are far less powerful when drafted into the Imperial faction where they sorely miss access to focus. I like your idea of bringing back the venerable E.Stormies with their higher figure count and attack re-rolls for offensive support. Triple-Z didn't end up doing much for my list, but I do know I hadn't really figured out how to use him effectively yet (I'm running him again this season with Terro to much better result so far). I'm looking forward to bringing in the Clawdite Shapshifter in Senator form with hopes that she might be able to lend the Inquisitor some additional offensive punch. Or perhaps the Emperor might be able to properly motivate him? At any rate, I'm not ready to give up on the guy yet either. Can't wait to hear how you fare in the tournament. Good luck!

Great write up! I love the Quiz too. I have a list I want to run called "It's Quiz time, class!" I see that they (the designers) wanted to incentivize the up close attack so they took away the green die for lightsaber throw, but I think what would have been better is keeping the green die, and then if you do a melee attack change the yellow die to a green die, or the green die to a red die. Then players would still have a strong (but limited) ranged attack, but an even more powerful up close and personal attack. And when you compare the Quiz to all other 9 cost deployment cards, he is the ONLY ONE that can only do damage through just his one attack (no way to do multiple attacks, or have something else that causes unmitigated damage like the Bantha or Drokkata). Even the core set models like Fenn (and even Biv Bodhrik from Twin Shadows) have a way to get off multiple attacks in some form or fashion. I love the Quiz and am running him in a fun list for the Season 3 Reddit Tourney, but I have found (I've only used him about 4-5 times in total) that he just isn't attacked much. I've only played one game where he was killed, and most games my opponent just ignores him because he simply isn't a big enough threat for the cost, so my opponent can just go after my weaker figures and a few objectives and win on points (and you will have weaker figures that can die since he takes up almost a quarter of your list). His health is great, he just needs a way to do unmitigated damage and a slightly better attack. Then you could pair him with BT and have two models that have the potential to take out multiple figures in just a one figure activation. If only, if only...
