Jerry's Two Yaw Special

I've recently picked up Jerry, as he's very popular locally, and I played him last week in a double VSD2 list against a double MC30 list. He did very well, slamming those Vics into hard turns and keeping guns on target as they tired to circle me.

Anyway, I've just picked up another Arquitens and want to try them both out a store tournament very soon, so here is my initial draft list, looking for some advice.

Additional points:- My local meta is heavy into Sato Rebels and Sloane (ISD/Quazar) builds, bit worried about getting token stripped. IG88 is my anti-Shara Bay chap errr.. droid. I loathe her with a passion. The VSD is my firebase, the Arqs circle and the GSD either runs the flank or bores right in for the throat. Fighters go CAP or if low/no enemy fighters go bombing.

I also have a VSD/Arq/Arq/Goz/Goz + fighters list that I'm thinking about. I've got everything but the Interdictor.

Arquitens-class Light Cruiser (54 points)
- Reinforced Blast Doors ( 5 points)
- Dual Turbolaser Turrets ( 5 points)
= 64 total ship cost

Looks good. the 3 small ships can all manoeuvre well with JJ but the flagship could get run over by some lists. Moff JJ could be safer on a Arquitens or keep him on the VSD but add Tua & ECM. You could pay for this by swapping IG88 for Sabre squadron which could do a similar role of hunting Jan/Mauler etc from amongst escorts.

Minefields can backfire if the enemy have reasonable squadrons and some strategic capability.

If your passion burns hot enough, you could try this: Mauler Mithel, IG-88, Saber Squadron, Colonel Jendon

All can put dmg on Shara without triggering counter. Granted Mauler will get stuck. But hey ... let the hate flow through you. :D

Thanks, great idea. If I go for Tua and ECM, that leaves me with 64 points for fighters. What's the best fighters I can get with this in you opinion? Some rogues?? Will I need both blast doors and DTT on the Arqs?

Jesus, that's evil! I love it!

Keep the DTTs on the Arquitens. If you have spare points, one of them could have TRCs and Captain Needa.

RBDs on them are optional. If you put Moff JJ on one then certainly RBDs would be a good choice but without the commander on board you can drop RBDs if you like.
