Are you required to purchase a core set to play or can you bring your own?
Release event question
ask your location - I would imagine most just require you to have a core set to play, but may still charge a few bucks entry.

I am setting up an event for a location.
from the material online and from other events I've seen, it appears they are requiring the purchase of a core set.
The location I'm going to is giving away entry with the purchase of a core, or charging $5 entry if you bring your own. If the release tournament kit includes cores, he is probably just selling them if people enter without buying one.
Edited by shosukoThere are no rules to the event in that regard. Each store can do as it wishes. Beyond that, some stores aren't even abiding by the existing rules to begin with. No-one can answer your question because no such answer exists.

Thanks for the information. I think we are going to make it free for those who already have a core.
I had to check shosuko's location to see if it is bay area because we are doing exactly what he said.
Yeah, I just know that if I already have three I am not going to want to purchase more to go to these events. And I likely we be going to several. Either alternate choice presented I would be fine with.
2 of our stores in spokane ws are doing same
Most places I've seen waive the admission if you buy a Core Set.
