Simple Rebel Errata Wishlist

Here is a short list of little Errata changes I dream of happening, with easy fixes, but would add flavor to the game with out warping the meta.

For Rebels

Pilots
"Hobbie" Klivian add an Elite Slot
Eaden Vrill add an Elite Slot
Thane Kyrell add an Elite Slot
Horton Salem add an Elite Slot

Astromechs
R3 "Once per round, when attacking with a primary weapon ..."
R5-K6 "After spending your target lock, roll on defense die. On an <evade> result immediately acquire a target lock on the same ship. You cannot spend this target lock this attack."

Crew
Raymus Antilles " Huge Ship Only. Rebel Only."

Title
Pivot Wing " After executing a maneuver At the end of the planning phase, you may flip this card."

None of these are game changing in a meta sense, most of the pilot skills are to low (with the exception of Horton, but it is Horton!) to effect the overall meta. All the pilots are "Almost useful". Even with an Elite slot they are not going to the be all end all in meta, just a bit more fun. While R3 would not be game winning, combine it with Snap Shot it would be usable. R5-K6 would still most likely not be used except for Shara and "Dutch" Vader, and not really anymore or less expensive than Fire Control System but less useful. Raymus Antilles, while expensive I would love to see in a 100 point game, there is no reason to keep him out at this point. Him plus Eaden Vrill would make a decent combo, but I would not say anymore than any of the Jump Masters with the Punishing One. Eaden (PS3)+ Raymus = 38 points, Manaroo (PS4) + Punishing One = 39 points, Contracted Scout (PS3)+ Punishing One = 37 points, a Resistance Sympathizer (PS3) = 38 points. So it would not overpower Eaden in contrast to the points. The U-Wing title just makes sense.

One last simple change I would make is the cloaking device lets you roll 3 extra green dice instead of 2. This is just due to Red Dice power creep. Not really rebels, but ... whatever.

Suggestions? What simple minor tweaks errata changes would you like to see for your favorite faction? I am not talking of overhauling E-Wing, I see that as a major change. I know Biggs is broke, but that would take a major rewrite of the card. I have ideas how that would work, but that is not what this post is about.

What, no EPT for Red Leader, Garven Dreis?

RAC crew: No huge only clause.

EPT added to the most expensive generics for Aggressor and Phantom.

...EPT for Wampa? (I know this is completely stupid)

I've got a "minor rewrite" for Biggs: "Other friendly ships at Range 1 cannot be targeted by attacks if the attacker is outside your firing arc and could target you instead." Fly straight at Biggs and target whoever you want. He only protected Luke from the TIEs coming in from behind, not from the cannons along the trench and on the tower, and Luke even comments on that.

So Biggs would only then protect your flank, and force a list who didn't want to have to work through Biggs to joust. Alternately, Biggs has to fly away, and the Rebel player loses his gun. Either way, I think this would go a lot further towards enabling counter-play.

I'd love to see Firesprays get rear-arc secondary weapons. The VCX-100 chassis has rear-arc torpedoes by rules alone, and not by any sort of upgrade card. Let a Firespray use Cannons, Missiles, and Torpedoes out the rear arc. If Scum Kath Scarlet got overpowered (I highly doubt she would) errata her to be primary-weapon-only. Particularly with the Lancer having an extra arc and the same statline, actions, and white-level moves, Firesprays just seem without a clear purpose. Rear-arc secondary weapons would clearly establish that the Firespray is for secondary weapons.

Kir Kanos EPT (really EPTs for all unique pilots without a strong reason not to have them).

I think the pilots you picked out are worthy of an elite talent upgrade. Hobbie and Horton because they were great pilots, and Eaden and Thane just because they need a little more oomph. I don't think these will necessarily happen in an erratum though, I wish they would, but I can't see FFG doing it.

R3 astro is a nice little tweak. I definitely think that should happen. I still kind of feel 2pts is a bit much for that astro even with your fix, but I'd probably use it more regardless (TLT Y-wing or a Gunner ARC etc).

Your R5-K6 tweak is nice too, I would actually use it then, and it would be worth the 2pts.

I could take it or leave it with Raymus only as I don't really care for him. I still think he's not worth 6pts (epic or not), and I do understand thematically why he is epic only.

I think the U-wing really needs even more love as its pretty well known as the worst ship in the game. I would change the wording to;

I think it would make the ship actually usable and give its unique title the proper niche use I think the designers had intended for it.

If this attack hits, the defender suffers 1 damage, and , if the defender is not stressed, it also receives 1 stress token. Then cancel all dice results.

Your upgrade bar gains the Crew upgrade icon. You may equip 1 additional Modification upgrade that costs 3 or fewer squad points.

What I like about @Jadotch U-Wing Pivot Wing title change is that "start of the activation phase" has something of the current way the title announces the upcoming move. There aren't too many ships with lower PS than most U-Wings who could react to it, but I like the thought that they could. I like the flavor of that more than a straight "when you reveal your dial" sort of trigger.

IMHO, the reason the U-Wing is the worst ship in the game isn't because it's particularly bad (in Rebels alone, I think it's probably a bit better as a platform than a HWK, maybe also an on-the-table Attack Shuttle), but because the Auzituck does the cheap "two crew" thing so much better. While the upgrade bar is very similar to a VCX-100, why not go for 4 attack and a turret slot? The ships which are worse than the U-Wing also don't have quite as clean substitutes. However bad a ship like the TIE Punisher is (and I don't think its that bad), it does something unique for its faction. The U-Wing just isn't different enough.

My additions:

Red squadron pilot gets EPT.

Gray squadron pilot gets EPT.

Dagger squadron pilot gets EPT.

Tala squadron pilot gets EPT.

Hired gun gets EPT.

(Get the idea?)

I may have other ideas later.

Thank you! Someone finally understands how to fix b-wing e/2. Although I'd argue that it should gain access to engine upgrade as well. The b-wing with engine doesn't break the game like the falcon, and unless your keyan, ptl isn't a viable option, and sometimes not even viable with keyan it's not because you want a more open dial.

Yeah I really think E2 should have been a title card not a modification upgrade. I went with 3 as it gives you access to experimental interface. However with a crew slot, I think a lot of people would consider a 3-4pt mod plus a crew card too many points anyway, so maybe you're right in that it doesn't really need a point cap. If this were to ever happen, I'd mostly be using it for guidance chips anyway.

Only reason I dislike the title card idea is I would like an x/7 type card for the ship.The one someone did awhile back where if you barrel rolled you got an evade token would suit me just fine.

I was also thinking mainly using it for chips but I'd like to keep options open, is all.

Or FFG could do to Rebels what they did with Imperials, when they thought Palpatine and Defenders were "warping the meta": nerf all the best Rebel ships and that way force people to play all the other (bad) ships.

FFG don't seem to have an issue with having multiple title cards nowadays, but I guess that's a moot point as the card already exists. I think adding some text to E2 to allow another mod would be great, and still allow for a title card down the track.

So Biggs should get an EPT slot too :P

Cool idea but what about R2-D6. He would be useless if every pilot has an EPT. :(

Another one:

R2-D6 can now add second EPT, but is now printed PS 6 or higher only, is it broken? Mabye.

Arvel Crynid could really use an EPT
