4-Lom (crew) with TLT

By Pelzak, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Hi,

According to attack timing chart TLT got two phases of Modify attack dice.

4-lom crew is blocking one token during modify attack dice until end of attack.

Is it correct then:

1) during first shot from TLT modify attack dice I take ion token and block evade token

2) during second shot from TLT modify attack dice I take second ion token and block focus token

Does it means that during second attack target got BOTH evade and focus tokens blocked?

Thanks

No.

Each use of 4LOM applies only to the single set of green dice in that defence dice step. The second shot it treated independently of the first from his perspective.

@AngusKr check out the "Rules Reference" booklet p.5, under Modify Attack Dice it says the attacker may resolve a card ability that he has not already resolved during this attack.

So I cannot find where it says that something like the first use of 4-lom does not affect the second of a "perform twice" attack, BUT! If it does then you would not be able to activate him during the second attack as he has already been activated during this attack.

Also using the same leap of logic (saying that something during the first modify step affects the dice in the second) you could say that a focus spent on the first TLT/cluster will continue converting eye results in the second attack.

No, because focusing is not an extended event. Even on a single attack you can focus up and then add/reroll another eyeball and it will stay an eyeball. It would just be that you could not perform that effect again.

Anyway, since TLT also says "Perform this attack twice", we can deduce that they are separate attacks as far as mods are concerned. 4-Lom on the first attack will not affect the 2nd attack.

I misunderstood the full question. ignore me.

Exactly. They are not one attack - they are two separate attacks nested between the same 'before attacking' and 'after attacking' steps.
