And this thread is why, unlike a certain other space combat game using the same system with a different IP, X-wing tied pilot abilities to specific ships. Cuts down on the number of potential design headaches when you have to remember to avoid things like the Blount ability + Ghost + TLT combo. It also lets them make more interesting abilities since they know what ship it's going to be tied to.
Hera in an A-Wing has been mentioned, but Hera in a Y-Wing has options too - specifically that if you select a red you can face in any direction at the end of it.
Classic Han in a Ghost has no small degree of punch, and Classic CHewie in a Ghost would take forever to kill.
Scum Boba in a Jumpmaster? I don't think it changes the S-loops but it does a lot to change that dial. Kavil in a Jumpmaster might be amusing too.
Actually, Jendon in a TIE Advanced might be fun.

I don't know about Corran in the Ghost; is one extra attack on one turn worth skipping attacks on the next turn?

If it let you get a second range 1 shot with 5 dice and a Target Lock on the thing you just hit? Or a second go with the Autoblaster Turret against an ace that got caught in range? Absolutely.

You'd lose the comm relay, and at PS 12 you want Advanced Cloaking Device - he's great, but primarily in the "Never get out-PS'd" sense, not being intrinsically harder to kill. Still great, though.

Would actually be crazy good in the current Meta. Lock both enemy ships. Laugh to victory.

While advanced would certainly be nice, Jendon in a tie bomber with lrs would be lovely.

the ghost already had unavoidable 4 damage, AC with ACT. Just at range one.
Biggs in an ORS style YT1300 might work. Fairly cheap, just 6 points more than an x-wing for a PWT (2 Dice, sigh) and two crew like C-3po or Chewie or R2-D2, snuggling comp. for scavenger crane and counter measures, and don’t forget evade with MF title.
Or biggs in Sabines TIE for cloak and SPA. And Jan ORS Crew.
Also Miranda in a ghost.
