Ghost Mouse Star Wars YouTube Channel has gone live!

By Ghost Mouse, in Star Wars: Armada Off-Topic

I'm happy to report that following my first game of Star Wars Armada I created a video, uploaded it to YouTube, and in so doing have now launched my own YouTube Channel:

@Nostromoid

Obviously my channel will contain other Star Wars related videos. X-Wing, Star Wars Roleplaying, fan fiction I'd rather narrate than type up into a wall of text, Reviews and general thoughts and opinions on anything Star Wars themed. This includes thoughts and opinions about ships in Armada. I've recently ordered Corellian Conflict, and I have thoughts on Squadrons, Hammerheads and the Chimaera expansion. So plenty of videos to come.

Best part is, it is on YouTube that I tell backstory to a Star Wars campaign which will feature plenty of Armada. Even the gaming mat I've recently ordered will have background to it. Each game will have a story leading up to it, the game itself will get narrated, and the aftermath will have some story to it too.

Hope you enjoy my first video, and like the fact I added two of my recording mishaps at the end. Just to prove I'm only human.

Another video has now gone up on my channel. Todays video is all about squadrons. Three ways to get the best use out of them and why, even if you don't want to bother with squadrons, it's a good idea to have some flying around:

I'm happy to report that I got an email to say that my order of the Corellian Conflict is arriving today. My next Armada video will be to talk about the contents of that.

Here is my video review of The Corellian Conflict. Since I plan on running my own campaign, and not playing The Corellian Conflict campaign, did I find the box contents value for money? Click and watch to find out.....

In other news, today my 6x4 gaming mat arrived from PWorks Wargames. My next video will be a review of my new gaming mat. Hopefully I'll get to try it out soon with Armada, when I will be trying out one of my three squadron strategies to see how well it works in practice.

Here is a video review of my 6x4 mousepad gaming mat from PWork Wargames:

My next two Armada videos are ready to upload to YouTube. Coming up are my thoughts on Hammerheads and Chimaera.

Here are my thoughts on using the Hammerhead Corvette in games of Armada:

Next up is a video about the Chimaera.

Here it is; my video about the Chimaera expansion:

I'm not sure yet, but I might revisit the Chimaera once we have a preview article about it. I'm also hoping for a good look at the Profundity too. Until then, my videos will be about actual gameplay. Not sure when that will be, as I've yet to have my first game of X-Wing, but once I do play next, it'll be on my 6x4 mat and I'm going to try out one of my three squadron ideas mentioned in my earlier video.

I think I know why there aren't many video channels devoted to Armada.

I've deactivated my channel now due to lack of interest. Creating and editing videos is time consuming. With no new subscribers, no interaction with viewers, and not even a like, it started to feel like I was wasting my time. Time I could put to better use.

I'll return to YouTube, having gained some valuable experience, but it won't be to report on games or talk the game or previewed releases.
