So either im blind or i cant find it in the rules, but when you ready a character/support and they still have dice in the pool, what happens?

Do all unused dice return to the character to be rerolled into the pool later?
Can you still use them before activating the character?
Or for that matter, activate with only partial dice since some were still in the pool?

p.14 To activate a character or support card, a player exhausts that card and rolls all of its dice. Any of its dice already in the pool are not rerolled.

When you ready them, any dice in the pool remain. When you activate them again, any dice not currently in the pool are rolled in - those still in the pool are left where they are.
